It might as well be. Apparently, “Coromandel” was a mangling of the original Tamil by the Italians, Dutch, and/or Portuguese. I have no idea what the southeast coast of India smells like, but probably not like the Chanel.

(Also, makes sense.)

Where ya headed, that you traveled through Bloomsburg, if I may ask. Bavard?

Last night, we watched fireworks from Saxonburg, then slept on the banks of the Allegheny River in New Kensington. Right now, we’re in Indiana, PA getting ready to go to a picnic in Apollo.

I’m wearing Patou Pour Homme again. I got a compliment on it!

Still hemming and hawing between various classic American frags (which were often nosed by European perfumers) for July 4. Scents by Ralph Lauren, Geoffrey Beene, Halston, Estée Lauder, Avon…I’ll find something. Dr. T. is angling for me to wear Grey Flannel, but I like the idea of Elsha 1776—an aptly-named independent American perfume, but also a comically inapt Russian leather.

Happy 4th of July!

Sweet!

Decision made:

Geoffrey Beene - Bowling Green

Perhaps Grey Flannel in the evening, when things cool off.

I’m tempted to follow your lead.

Okay then...

Jaqueline Cochran era

I might wear this before bed later.

Fendi Uomo.

Had to spray on the arms only today, as non-IFRA-neutered vintage concoctions combined with the heat wave have given me a bad case of rash on the chest.
