Good morning. We’re back to cooler weather and intermittent rain today after a beautiful sunny day yesterday.

It’s my eldest son’s 37th birthday today ( gosh that makes me feel old) and we’re meeting him and his girlfriend for brunch at a local garden centre.

I will wear Le Baiser du Dragon.

I have another lateshift and hopefully it will be less drama than yesterday 😕 But tomorrow I have off and also an appointment for getting my very first tattoo I'm kind of nervous.... At least I know the tattoo artist Sotd is Elixir des Merveilles.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my son. We had a nice meet-up and present opening session. We bought him a vibrating multi tool and a drumstick bag.

Congrats on your first tattoo, @ineespenes!! 🐉 I’m a little jealous - I haven’t gotten new ink in ages. Let us know how it goes, I hope you post a pic.

@foxbins, that’s a fascinating picture. The pattern of the claw/teeth marks makes me uncomfortable, but it’s still incredibly interesting. I look forward to these photos.

I’m getting implants tomorrow.

Not the exciting kind, that garner Botoxed side-eyes from fellow parents at the school talent show. No, no - the less scandalous, less perky dental kind. I have an insignificant crown all the way in the back, that would apparently benefit from being replaced by an implant rather than a new crown.

Do I really need this? I could grin like the Cheshire Cat, and you still wouldn’t be able to see its presence or absence. What’s the point?

But I trust my dentist dearly, and he’s always looked out for my best interest (he’s an absolute gem). He assures me that the molar is necessary for an even bite. So tomorrow I go in for the first step, a bone graft. Nerve-wracking.

I’d rather get a pair of jugs (just kidding).

I had a rough night and wasn't feeling too well this morning, so went for Aqua Allegoria Neroli Vetiver for something fresh and bright. Whilst it was fine sadly it didn't quite perk me and by lunch time I had to come home and go to bed. I think I'm feeling better, so no idea what was going on.

I do all of my dental work sans gas or any kind of sedative now (just local anesthesia for numbing), so it’s a bit more anxiety-inducing. But I’ll make it work.

It’s broken up into 3 appointments, and I believe all have at least 6 weeks in between them for optimum healing time (don’t quote me on the number, though - I was terrified as he was explaining things to me, so I may be off by bit).

I do all of my dental work sans gas or any kind of sedative now (just local anesthesia for numbing), so it’s a bit more anxiety-inducing. But I’ll make it work.

Dental implants are definitely worth it, I have 2. I didn't use gas either just a local and it wasn't painful at all. Bone grafts sound scary but they are really not. You'll be glad you went through with it when you're done. Good luck! 🙂
