In sync with the weekend theme of candy land. I went through my sample collection and found a couple of contenders that I'd been putting off trying just because they're supposed to be overly sweet, which is not my bag. Today I'm trying Cacharel's Yes I am. It is very synthetically sweet and reminds me of sweet wrappers and lollipops, though it's not as overwhelming as I was expecting but definitely not something I'd go for.

Hi All,

Wearing Cuir Iris by L'Atelier des Bois de Grasse. We spent the morning making almond and apricot thumb print cookies.

My daughter has one of her friends over this afternoon, the girls have some serious projects with fimo clay. We had to empty the whole dinner table to make room, lol. I guess I will see the artwork when I put them in the oven 🤓

Afternoon all!

l have the weekend off, & l'm still not dressed or scented today! 😜 We have a mixture of sunshine & showers here, & it was mild enough for us to watch the Rangers game with the patio door open, & the sound of birdsong drifting in from outside. There are hyacinths blooming in the garden, & tulip buds beginning to appear. Tomorrow should be dry enough for me to complete the raking, l hope! 😀

@teardrop, the beginnings of spring sound beautiful where you are.

Things are finally going back to normal after the boys got sick back to back. I feel like I can finally breathe easily again 🙏🏻🙌🏻 I lost a handful of weight during that time, since I completely lose my appetite when I’m stressed.

The old me would have delighted in this, and possibly ran with it. Nuh-uh. The current me knows better, and has a number that I now choose not to go under, rather than a magical number that I chase (which always seemed to grow smaller, every time I caught it).

Luke lost a lot of weight (it’s scary, how quickly a child can become skeletal during an illness) in the 2.5 days that he was sick - it was heartbreaking to bathe him, or carry him. Luckily, kids seem to gain it just as fast as they lose it - in a mere day, his cheeks have become fuller, his back is no longer painful to look at, and his glorious little-kid-belly has made a reappearance.

I’m looking forward to getting a few extra treats in for the next few days, to bring me back up to fighting weight.

It’s absolutely gorgeous! I don’t see too many orange-hued roses that often, so I love when I do. Perhaps you could post some more blooms here during the season 🙂

A fantastic mossy drydown

Things are finally going back to normal after the boys got sick back to back. I feel like I can finally breathe easily again 🙏🏻🙌🏻 I lost a handful of weight during that time, since I completely lose my appetite when I’m stressed.

Glad Luke has gotten better. You deserve a lot of freeze dried ice cream for all the difficult days that you endured.

L'Arte di Gucci is one of my favorite rose scents. If you like rose then you should sample Coty La Rose Jacqueminot.

For the weekend Candyland sync, I'm wearing original Lolita Lempicka EDP, for the amarena cherries and licorice. I can take it because the ivy leaf is super prominent on me, so it doesn't come off as terribly sweet.

There are hyacinths blooming in the garden, & tulip buds beginning to appear.

Wow. That seems so early. We had freezes here the last three nights, and all the things that poked up their green shoots in the previous week's heat wave got their heads bitten off.
