Happy birthday to stuigi!

Off to work in Bvlgari Omnia.

I have dreamed a super interesting dream about a wheat mafia in baroque era and three sisters from the mafia family that are being wed, and the crazy obedience checks their family perform on them and the tight grips of ruthless family, and it was getting interestinger (I know it's not a word but I like it), and my alarm cut into all of this. I snoozed it of course and got back to the same dream but didn't get to the end of the drama before my second alarm.

I'm pissed and I can't wait to retire. I still have more than 30 years left.

Alice, it sounds like you dreamed an entire screenplay! What do you consider to be the "baroque era"?

I'm pissed and I can't wait to retire. I still have more than 30 years left.

Don't rush it, sweetie, it'll get here soon enough. Enjoy the journey.

I'm doing what the kids would call a "collab" today. I've got vintage Cabochard on my left arm, and vintage Aramis on my right. Kind of a shoot-out of Bernard Chant's two most famous formulas. The plan is to see if I can even tell them apart after a couple of hours. I'm betting that I can't.

17th-18th century mainly, with ornate and over the top everything!
Or maybe it was more rococo with the 18th century. Yes, very rococo-style everything, think of

Yes, it felt very much like a movie. Too bad I didn't see the unraveling of the crime mystery in it.

Dreams like that usually mean that I'm either drunk or sick, maybe I should check my temperature later.

Spritzed the rarely-worn Ysatis this morning.

My original plan for today was to go to the Social Security office and stand in line all day, in the rain, in order to prove I'm an American Citizen (not that that's ever been questioned before....) so I can get signed up for Medicare. (as @Cook.bot says to @ClockworkAlice , "Don't rush it, sweetie, it'll get here soon enough." ... AND HOW.)

On the SS website, it says it's best to make an appointment and provides a phone number. When you call the phone number, they tell you (after a 40 minute wait time) that this is the NATIONAL number and you must call the local number. When you call the local number, the recording says all calls are being forwarded to the national number. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Our government is such a prankster.

Anyway, turns government offices are closed today for New Years "observed". Will try again tomorrow.

Happy New Year's Day "OBSERVED!"

Happy birthday to @stuigi!
Interesting dream, @ClockworkAlice!

Happy Birthday, @stuigi ! 🥳🎉🎂 I hope that you have a wonderful year.

Great to see you here, @twiztidladii ! Welcome 😊.

@ClockworkAlice , that’s an amazing dream ❤️ I wish I dreamt like that! The older I get, the less I dream - I often forget them in the first five minutes of waking up.

SOTD is Dior Sakura once again.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Happy Birthday @stuigi! 🎂

I've already been to Ikea and back (it was packed with people) and put my overflow perfume boxes in my new container and shoved it under the bed. Now I have to organize the freezer because I know there is chicken in it somewhere and I can't find it. I'm wearing Panthere de Cartier.

It was a lazy Monday (off today) so I made Pork Carnitas from scratch (it came out awesome!) and watched movies (Dune, the remake, for the 2nd time + Chinatown, the Nicholson/Dunaway one from the 70's)

I wore this, because I wanted something really sweet:
