Blue Jeans Versace

I'm surprised by the elegance and performance of this one, especially for the price. Picked up Red Jeans for the wife. Now I'm interested to see how the rest of the Jeans line holds up, but they look to be needles in a haystack.

Iris Royal by Herve Gambs has simply amazed me.

Finally sampling Fzotic / Fazzolari Lampblack and it’s so ridiculously wearable that I don’t see any way around buying a bottle. While it is as dark as promised, especially up front, the citrus is much more prominent than expected; it’s also balanced perfectly with a gentle sweetness from the benzoin. I’m not always excited about cypriol, but the way it’s handled here is perfect - no fake oud silliness, no heavy handed cypriol overload the way you sometimes encounter. Just a lovely sweet orange and grapefruit cocktail paired with black pepper, sooty/inky vetiver, and cypriol. Solid performance to boot, without being over strong.

Bortnikoff's Amber Cologne

Since I was looking for a summer scent, I bought Amber Cologne, and seeing I'm a fan of Bortnikoff (I absolutely love Oud Monarch, Musk Khabib, and Tabac Doré), I thought it would be a pretty safe blind-buy.

But wow. This man is a masterful blender. Amber Cologne smells so good, I can't keep my nose of my arm

Creed Vetiver Geranium. I bought a bottle three years ago, but it didn't impress at the time and I put it back in the closet. I tried it again yesterday, and was much more impressed by its fruity bouquet and sillage. It also has an excellent drydown and skin scent, which was a nice change from my recent experience with Erolfa.

Meo Fusciuni! ​

Everything I've tried from this house I've really enjoyed, which is rare for me. In particular, I struggle with fig and tuberose as notes, but:


3# Nota di Viaggio (2019) is an incredibly dry, green and complex fig leaf scent that captures Sicily like nothing else.

Odor 93 is a complex, earthy tuberose that is so addictive and mysterious.
