What have been your best fragrance discoveries of 2022?

I’ve been on a “best of the budget fragrances” kick this year and have tried and really enjoyed:
—Lomani PH
—Mont Blanc Individuel
—Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT

Also finally got a bottle of Versace L’Homme and just wish I’d tried it sooner. Excellent—and also a great bargain scent.

And in the quirkier fun scents category, I got a sample of Spice Bomb Infrared and liked it very much, helping to restore my interest (and a bit of faith) in the potential for that line of flankers.

Lastly, coming back to a fragrance I hadn’t smelled in years, Wild Country has become my comfort fragrance of choice lately. Hits the mark just right.

Best discovery for me this year is Dior Homme 2020 (by far). Still can’t believe how wearable, versatile and enjoyable it’s been on an almost daily basis. I’ve never been one to wear the same fragrance on consecutive days but DH 2020 quickly grabbed me by the shirt and has stubbornly refused to let go. I’m sort of waiting to get bored (the norm for me) but it’s just not happening!

Whispers in the Library by Maison Martin Margiela
Lattafa Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud (seems promising, I'll know after temps drop and can wear it more).

Cheers!

This summer was so hot where I live on the West coast of the US, that I finally understood Petit Matin by MFK. I had a sample of it but had tried it in a cooler temp where it smelled more metallic than I like, then I tried it again one day in early August and immediately I had to have a full bottle! It's been my summer fragrance ever since, because it just makes me feel happy.

Yea! I had nearly forgotten I have this one but when things got nasty in August I pulled it out and wondered why I hadn't been wearing it all summer, it's so good!

Eau d'Hermes has been a new/old discovery and what a gem to find after having enjoyed Roudnitska's other perfumes for a while. I had overlooked this one when trying in stores, it disappeared amongst the other smells of the day because it wears quite light and close. Now after a few wearings in private I can get a better understanding and experience its subtle complexities properly.

Armani surprisingly.

I never really bothered with Armani fragrances but tried Code Profumo and Stronger with you Intensely and fell in love with both.
