It's pretty much what I expected. Good, but very light with low longevity.

Naomi Goodsir 's Nuit de Bakélite, gorgeous tuberose strange and green, sappy and gummy, an unforgettable sillage monster. Lingers in the air days after spraying and after airing the room. Just mind-blowing.
I have recently realised that I wear tuberose scents mostly nights, and that's no surprise as the flower blooms in the dark hours.
It is a weird perfume but somehow it fits with the night-time atmosphere, its mystery though not with amber notes. It keeps me wondering.

This stuff is WILD. I had about 1/2 a ml in a dabber bottle; even sealed, that was enough to dominate everything in my perfume cabinet with a pungent green pepper note. (That note wasn't nearly as strong on my skin; smelled quite good on skin, to be honest.)

i was expecting it to be good but this stuff totally surpassed my expectations. it's really brilliant and better than most niche offerings in the boozy-gourmand vein. spicy caramel would probably be the best way to describe it, very warming & with lots of nuances all balanced perfectly.

Ok, let's try this again... my real, FINAL final purchases of the year (hopefully):

• Lutens La Fille de Berlin (50 ml tester / Zellige limited edition bottle). Full disclosure, I already own and love this one. My mom loved it even more, and I needed a last minute gift, so I'm giving her my nearly full 50 ml bottle with the box. This tester will be my replacement. Fingers crossed it's the same formulation!
• Lutens L'Eau d'Armoise (100 ml tester). I know the L'Eau series gets hate, but I enjoy the current formulation of Gris Clair quite a bit (blissfully ignorant of what the original smells like). From everything I've read about L'Eau d'Armoise, this sounds like the most interesting one by far. Artemisia/wormwood dominant, plus bergamot and immortelle. I've seen it described as a bitter gin and tonic top with a lightly smoky immortelle base. Can't wait to try it.
