SOTN is DHI (2013 version). Before I give a description of what I’m smelling, let me say that this wearing is from a sample long ago that I received from a very generous longtime BN member. Thank you! While the sample has been stored carefully, it is not recent and maybe something has happened to the smell or not. So what I get from the 2013 DHI, compared to 2009 silver collar, is essentially “DHI Light”. Still smells good and far better than more recent stuff I’ve smelled. However it’s not as dense and rich smelling as silver collar. At close range, I also detect dry woods. In the air, the signature iris from the first version is clear. My history with DHI has been hate/like/love in that the first time I smelled it was around 2016(?)-ish and it just smelled like the bottom of my wife’s make up purse. And then I smelled 2009 silver collar and realized a VERY different experience. Silver collar, is something special and I respect it so much. The 2013 has all of the main dna in there and hits close to silver collar albeit somewhat lighter, not as rich/dense, and with woods apparent. I like it very much. Again, thank you to the generous BN member that made this experience possible!

I forgot that I had this one in my collection. Like most of the Masculin scents from Bourjois it's a nice one but nothing breathtaking. Woody/oriental office scent, easily wearable .

Blu Max (1974) by Perlier. Loads of white soap, old school.

Lancetti Uomo (1982) by Lancetti. Some spiciness along with civet and patchouli, but also jasmine, which makes this a suitable follow-up to the SoTM.

I've become rather fascinated by these little 1980s 5 Parfums de Paris distributed/arranged by Societe Generale De Parfumerie Monte-Carlo - Monaco that I got another set. Tiny little 1.8ml miniatures of Ivoire de Balmain, which is what I'm wearing today, another Gres - Cabochard, Revillon Paris - detchema de parfum, Caron - Fleurs De Racaille and Carven - ma griffe.

Hello everyone. Anné Pliska today. I wore this in the early 2000s. Recently lucked into a flacon of the extrait and boy, have I missed it. If you crossed vintage Obsession with Shalimar and added a bright, candied orange rind note, you wouldn’t be too far afield.
