Version of Habit Rouge with most prominent oud note

So, I bought a bottle of HR EDP years ago after smelling a very distinct our note in the base. It was subtle, but I like it. However, the bottle that I ended up buying has zero oud note.

I'm curious if there are "known" formulations/version for their our note.

Thanks!

The only Habit Rouge I like is the EdP version (aka Beau Cavalier). It does have agarwood in it I gather but admittedly it's not very pronounced as an "oud note.". But given that the EdP is the only one I like, it must play some role in making it my favorite.

Hednic mentions another version I've never heard of. Does Habit Rouge hold the all time record for flankers?

You'd have to go back to the early years of the EdP (2003) to be sure of finding the oud note. From what I've read it didn't last that long, and I've certainly not got anything more than a smooth woodiness from the EdP in the last 5-10 years or so. It's been dropped from most pyramids.

The EdT has never had an oud note of course.

I've never tried the Armoiries edition but think it was just the normal EdP dressed up in a limited edition bottle, as is the case with Beau Cavalier and the rest. And since it came out in 2006 it might well have contained a more noticeable oud note. The only true flanker for the EdP is Habit Rouge Dress Code.

Thanks for the tips - the only reason I thought the EDT may have an oud note is because Guerlain lists it on the EDT webpage. 🤷
I've just noticed that it's mentioned in the description for the EdP (which I haven't seen in a while), but not that for the EdT. Which site are you looking at? I suspect a glitch.

Yes, it's Beau Cavalier.

You may also like M7 Fresh, another beautiful take on the synthetic oudh note.

Guerlain's (Canadian) website: "Leather and oud wood notes blossom in the base, tempered by the sweetness of vanilla and patchouli."

May just be a copy & past from the EDP page. 🤷

Seconding the EDP as likeliest the HR flanker/version with the most oud-in the case of already owning this, would stick with the EDP as the closest to a decent oud in this fragrance range.
I frankly hardly wear the one I already own - which is probably why I was looking for anything to make it a bit more appealing. Don't get me wrong, it's stunning, I adore it enough to buy a 2nd bottle, but I want a darker base. Should probably go vintage. 🤷

Since the OP brought it up, yes, I have noticed an oud note in my 50ml Listerine-style bottle of HR EDP acquired within the last couple of years. HR with the most prominent oud note? Perhaps. The oud note in HR EDP is not as prominent as that of M7OA. Rose oud combos are commonly found out there and this is a pleasant one of many. I need to get this one out for a spin more often. YMMV.
