Vermeil for Men by Vermeil

After hunting few month, finally Vermeil reach into my hand. I try by spray on my chest and definetly this is ball tongue of ragging powerhouse with a tone of nasty & animalic. The opening very harsh, radical, raping my sinus and ultra masculine...I can identify smell a bundle hukah of tobacco, boozy leather & urinal cake ( civet or castoreum). I love this scent which introduce by Shamu as shadow of Davidoff. Will take care when full wearing this cause too strong and brutal. :shocked::shocked:

It takes a while to arrive (3 weeks approx for Ireland, presume the same for UK), but worth it IMHO. Have been considering purchaing Vermeil from them myself, but having just acquired Cigar Aficionado, not sure if Vermeil is different enough to merit purchase.

Buddy 97, Cigar Aficionado and Vermeil are different enough to own both. If you have the original Davidoff, then Vermeil isn't a must sniff; otherwise try to check it out.

Here's my impression after wore full day of Vermeil. Definitely this is the strongest powerhouse in my wardrobe. I had done with 3 shots and yes i can't stand with opening "very harsh, radical and raping my sinus" will embarrassing part of Kouros, VCA ph, Giorgio, Oscar de la Renta and Antaeus. I know that we have own olfactory and honestly the first opening make my sinus attack by brighter accord, ballsbusting macho perfume yelling, legalize of tobacco, nasty leather and animalic urine cake note that super combo of demolition.

Although down is sublime in its nature but the top notes are just far too aggresive and radical. This is what i would say winner of the strongest powerhouse scent. Infection raping sinus last for 3-4 hours to calm down until it will be growing & enveloped dominan a bundle hukah of tobacco and animalic urine cake. Vermeil easier take as contender number one in my top five powerhouse.

Got it for Fathers' Day! Love it - like Kouros crossed with Cigar by Remy LaTour. The only thing I have against it is it dies down quickly (at least on me) and becomes quite tame and after 3 hours is subtle.

Holy smoke! Vermeil lasts 15 hours on my skin. 2 shots on chest in the morning, I was able to smell it on me when I went to bed.

I put on more than 7 sprays:shocked: at around 9AM and though it was still detectable in the afternoon it was subtle (unlike Lapidus or Kouros).

I happened to drop my bottle of vermeil on bathroom floor and although it didnt shatter, the small leakage on my bathroom floor was detectable for 2 weeks. May be you had olfactory fatigue.

You might be correct Santino, after work I went into the canteen at work and the woman at the cash register commented (rather unsubtly) how strong my cologne was - I couldn't smell it.

This juice will last on me about 14 hours...but the next day still smell but subtle...

I used up my last spritz of this juice 5 years ago. Didn't think they still produced it. I nearly threw away the bottle when i first bought it but luckily it was at home and i picked it up from the kitchen trash when i got back from work. The process of going from midnotes to drydown was simply sublime. Topnotes way too brash but it disappears in 30 minutes anyway (depending on number of spritzes).

Having tried a couple of good blasts of this on my arm whilst on holiday I have to say it smells, to my nose anyway, exactly like the original 1984 Davidoff. The opening is different enough to be noticable but 10 minutes later - it's a Davidoff replica. This is no bad thing given the scarcity and price of the Davidoff. It was certainly VERY strong, lasted very well and smelled excellent - it was just too similar to warrant a purchase - I went for Gianfranco Ferre for Men instead...!

Is Vermeil PH worth owning when already having Michael Kors for men? I read that it's about the same only less sweet.

Definitely yes. I have both, and I don't smell much if any similarity. They both have tobacco, and that's about the only thing I smell similar. I like Kors, but Vermeil is much stronger and smells much more macho.

Yeah, Kors is masculine but sweet masculine. I guess that is what u mean by less macho. Kors is one of my favs for fall/winter.

Michael Kors is an excellent modern boozy tobacco frag, but definitely not a powerhouse. Vermeil for Men is a leathery tobacco of the old school, made strong enough to hold its own in headily (tobacco) smoky environments. As has been mentioned earlier VfM is similar only to the original Davidoff frag.

Yeah, I read that (of course). And u and others were right about your descriptions.
Maybe you remember me thinking buying the Davidoff edt but getting the aftershave instead as the guy I sold it from didn't know shit.
Anyway, I can mix that AS now with Vermeil Edt!
Drydown of Vermeil is a more close but definitely still potent, with a nice tobacco vibe to me...............delicious!

It's like original Davidoff in the drydown but the opening is more soapy (I love it!) Very manly all the way, great sillage, longevity and tobacco note but all this has already been said in threads and reviews.
