The way I have managed to negotiate this challenge is to avoid being around people at all cost.
If it’s unavoidable, like when visiting family, they will kindly ask me not to wear something again. For example, when my sister once told me I smelled like, “Egyptian butthole,” I told her I would take it under advisement.
:ROFLMAO: Sounds like my kind of scent! What was it?

Original or 2022 Shangri La? Wish I could have bought a FB before it was discontinued, though I have high hopes for the new one.
It's been way too long since I've worn LHB myself, seems like the perfect time of weather for it here too. Do you have a particular favourite formulation of it?
It’s original Shangri-La. I found a bottle two years ago in a small perfumery. Fell for it and went back for a backup bottle. I haven’t smelled the rerelease.

I think my favourite formulation of LHB is the pdt. It’s a bit muskier, like the vintage extrait. The edp is more powdery and plush to my nose. Do you have a favourite formulation?

How lucky! I've heard good things about the re-release, but it sounds like it does have a bit less depth - probably can't be helped as the oakmoss had to be reduced.
For LHB, I've only tried the modern EDT and EDP and an older EDP (I think from the late 90s, maybe early 00s?). I prefer the older EDP, though I like the modern one too. I really want to try an extrait version, and I'd never even heard of the PDT before, but if I somehow stumble upon it I'd be curious to try too. I do think the powdery and plush version sounds more like what I want from something like LHB though. I love how it has that pastry-ish accord without feeling like a gourmand, at least in the modern sense.

I'd love to know what it was, too :D

I have the 2022 release, never got to smell the original. I've read that the differences are very subtle, but less moss would make sense for obvious reasons. It's a lovely scent nevertheless. There is something spring-like in it, too.

I had a chance to buy a PdT of L'Heure Bleue recently for a decent price - and passed on it, because I was holding out for a vintage parfum... now, your posts inspired me to wear the (modern) EdT and I think I may have made a mistake. :( Ah well, still holding out for that vintage parfum of this swooningly gorgeous perfume (that however is not at all an easy reach for me).

I thought maybe Antaeus because of Greece, but - the Statue of Liberty? 🤔
I think you're right and it's Antaeus. He was a giant, so maybe that's what the statue is referring to, or to be even more detailed, a giant who was defeated by being held aloft?

I take it as a statue only. However, what animal is this and what does it mean? Why the USA flag?
I couldn't see it on my pc so I had to google the emoji, it's an ant.
