I did, but didn’t care for either one. I’m hoping SP strongly considers doing some of his best attars in spray perfume form!
I have a feeling most of his sprays will be in that vintage Chypre sort of vibe but I really hope he moves into that eastern/Oud/incense space. Even if it’s just one hahah. All the rest can be vintage Guerlain style I don’t care I just want ONE rip roaring heavy as heck oriental.

Yea the only downside is that to my understanding, he is doing everything with IFRA compliance and also making them reproducible on a mass scale. I'm not super well versed in what IFRA does/doesn't allow but I'm guessing there will be quite a lot of ingredients he will need to cut back on or replace with AC's.

I would absolutely love something in the Aurum D'Angkor category in a spray format though.

I'm really happy that Sultan will be sharing his gifts with a wider audience though. He deserves all the success!!!

I really don’t think IFRA is to blame for fragrances smelling bad. I mean people still think Rogue Perfumery isn’t IFRA compliant because Manny Cross was ignorant to what that kind of compliance meant so you see everywhere people talk about how great his scents are because well “fuck IFRA” but in reality there was never a moment he wasn’t in compliance. So that includes oakmoss and everything. Sultan has always used aromachemicals in his work and if Sacred Scarab is any indication of how natural his work will smell within a VERY limited budget I think these will be rather nice and rich.

He is still a very young man CS, we can't be settling for just ONE lol!!!

For incense my favorite is Nankun Kodo and just “incense”. Those two are simply incredible.
Nankun Kodo is awesome, and it’s one of the reasons that I’ve been itching to see if SP turns any of these legends into sprays, but while sitting around hoping NK would be on of them….I got my nose on Elixir Attars Japan! And to me it is remarkably similar to NK, and I’m thrilled to be getting it!

Also, the other day, I put on swipes of the fabled Norma Kamali Incense/SP Incense/and Elixir Attar Sacred Incense….and wow, the similarities of all 3 are amazing! I actually think SP and Elixir are better than the NK. But the actual smells are basically all the same with tiny nuances.

I'm pretty sure that it is only one Ashfaque in these deeper levels of the Fragcom(one needs to have a certain palate to apreciate Persolaise). So, I'm sure it's the same Ashfaque? Let's see if I'm right @Ashfaque ?
Guilty! But I am not as sophisticated as you think of me. Having said that I am going to show this to my family when they say I am nitpicking! 🙃

You know I own spirit of Japan as well but it’s an older version from like 2018 I believe. I do agree both Nakun Kodo and Spirit of Japan are incredible examples of Japanese incense, I gotta say my favorite is NK. My bottle of Japan is just way too minty like overloaded with mint and cinnamon and it’s all you can really smell until the far drydown when the sandalwood, ambergris and musk create a creamy woody incense base. That aspect is amazing. Japan reminds me of a standard daily burn Incense whereas Nankun literally smells like premium top shelf incense. Both have their place though. I need to try Sacred Incense now!
