I was busy all day yesterday so I didn't post but I wore Oud Sinharaja by Bortnikoff (because someone mentioned it on the Bortnikoff thread) and really enjoyed it, even if it does fade sort of quickly...

Today, a sample that I am pretty sure I picked up in Chicago at the BN Meet up. I always have memories of a co-worker (when I was a young adult) wearing this fragrance, so it was hard for me to enjoy it without all of the feminine-associated-memories. But today I am wearing the vintage Eau de Cologne and wow this is so well done. The core of the fragrance just smells poisonous and green and almost salve-like but it's laid over with so much unique floral notes and then flashes here and there of aldehydes. I love how 'shimmery' it smells...

Healing Hugs for teardrop!

Wearing, Sweet by Lolita Lempicka.

..........................................

The nearby creek never got out of hand but, other areas had / have some flash flooding here in PA. It rained cats and dogs for hours. I was worried - Hubby, was not. Good riddance Ida.

I feel bad for those who got directly hit by this storm, way south of us...

Teardrop, I'm so sorry about your accident. I hope you feel better soon.

Proving that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, I got a FedEx notification that my Ikea item is out for delivery today. I can't help but wonder how long it would have taken if I hadn't called. I'm wearing Kiehl's musk today to organize some stuff in the garage.

Hello everyone :) First of all, I'm so sorry Teardrop to hear about your fall  I hope you get well soon. The bf managed to break his collarbone after a fall the other day, so he's also in a lot of pain these days :/ Tonight is my last nightshift before having the weekend off. It's another rainy and grey day. I was in the mood for Bois de violette do that is my sotd. Have a great day everyone :)

Ouch! to Teardrop and Ouch! to Inee's BF too. I once broke my collarbone and it was surprisingly painful for a bone that you don't think of as engaging in much movement.

Vintage Eau Sauvage for me today. There's a tiny drop in the humidity and temp (below 90F/32C!), just enough to tease us that autumn might be here in a month or so.

Thank you lovelies for all the kind thoughts! l'm missing doing my usual work & fear having difficulties with it in the long term, as it requires a lot of dexterity. Plus certain movements are really painful, particularly those involving personal hygeine! There's still a chance that l've fractured my scaphoid, but apparently these don't always show up on an x-ray straightaway, so l have to wait & see. l have a telephone appointment with a specialist tomorrow, but just how useful that will be remains to be seen. l can still type in my usual one-finger style, but it's slow & awkward with the splint. l just hope l don't end up needing a cast...

lne, healing wishes to your BF!

Oh (((teardrop))). We take the simplest things for granted until ... More vibes.

Octopus day -- doing many unrelated odds and ends. A quick shot to the chest with Le Labo Lys this morn.

teardrop - ((healing bear hugs))

I have the vintage Chamade EdC in that bottle so I shall twin with you this evening! It is a marvel.

Hugs, dear teardrop. I have hit that age where any visit to the doc includes the question, "Have you had any falls?" They get harder to recover from, and I joke that my new hobby is not falling. Seriously, I am a bit on guard at all times, and I've become a dodderer who stares at a curb before I step off of it. I wish you thorough healing.
