Been catching whiffs of something nice - think I'll ask next time what it is!
Gorgeous creamy shaving foam aroma.
Fair play to the staff at The Perfume Shop Solihull for actually suggesting a few things proper when I asked what it might be( not just 'this is new, you must like oud...blah) and came up with Platinum Egoiste.
The suspense is killing me! You got to report back @Ifti when you find out what it is?

I smelled something very fresh, fruity, slightly sporty, and overall pleasant earlier today on what is something of a rare character type these days: the British "chav". He had overapplied said fragrance but as he went by on his rusty bike it left a fantastic scent trail. I have no idea what it was, couldn't even hope to guess (at a push, something Ralph Lauren?). It could have been a bodyspray because it didn't smell like an ambroxan bomb - although performed like it. Very fruity-fresh but I wouldn't say aquatic.

@rum !
I smelled it again offova' store assistant in Tesco. I asked and I'm not sure it wasn't "gatekeeping" 😜. He said it was what the barber put on. Where's your barber!? Kings Heath in Birmingham. Utter madness, I think I'll have to be like one who has a few screws loose and maybe just go into the several barbers on the high street there!
Really nice, good shaving foam smell, not cheap or synthetic, a little sweetness, a little powdery, a sprinkle of spice and well ***#& me, really good trail, one you want to follow.

There's a few Turkish barber houses there and he looked like he'd gone for an "Ertugal" beard trim. I've seen a few of them big Turkish splashes /sprays ... Will investigate further!!

The Turkish Barbers will often spray a 4711 type fresh neroli cologne but I doubt it's that that you're catching whiffs of.

Less frequently they may employ a TF for man Extreme type scent. That could come across quite barbershop-ish with Creamy shave foam aroma. You might need to get back to the Check out and try catching him out!

It's usually hard to accurately decipher what a person is wearing, I'm not gonna pretend I'm 100% accurate.

With that being said, I must've smelled Ariana Grande Cloud 20 times in the past month. Surely wasn't Burberry Her, BR540, or the Pacifica one.

I'm not complaining though, smells good to me!

BR540 yet again - this is becoming more and more popular
Agree! My cynical mind says it must've been conciously framed in the background of some influensters social yapping and thus is taking on the must have bro statement frag that ahem some other Napoleonic fragrance once had 😮

To be honest though it's these teeny college kids ( who never seem to be at college) who are sporting this frag ( around here anyway - Brum!)

Today, just like most other days, I smelled MFK BR540 on a young woman who seemed very unfit for it.
I always recognise it on people who want to radiate their fragrance to others and it bothers me a lot. Especially in the case of br540 since I absolutely detest it.
The other day I met an old friend and instantly recognised his Aventus, which was very pleasing (although unexpected)!

Totally know what you mean! I caught plenty of whiffs of it recently. At one time a couple of weeks ago, I picked it up on a woman across the street (perhaps 6-8 metres away). It literally couldn't have been anyone else.

Haha, I know right?
Usually young girls with no personality overspray it in my experience. Always at least 8 sprays of the extrait which is bonkers. You don't even want that much with a good fragrance, never mind one that smells awful :)

My pal I met today, often gifted frags from his partner who works in Boots. Apparently the staff get to pick stuff every so often as bonuses and gifts every( turning green).
He got 1 million previously and loathed it.
Today I got nice whiffs, very pleasant , "inoffensive", a bit floral and powdery. Like a no brainer loafing in casuals frag ( which is exactly what we did today!). He said it was Aramis and I'm thinking it was from that "adventure/black/voyager..." Range from a few years ago.

First time responding to this thread. I live in a suburb of Sacramento, and have for 20 years now. I think in all that time, I don't recall smelling anyone's fragrance while out and about. I worked in the city (Sacramento), and did smell female colleagues perfumes several times--and it was very rare. So as far as "smelled on the street" goes, I live in the wrong place! Must get to the city more. ;)

Among both random and totally unknown female as well as male passers by, a quite strongly projecting and uncommonly high prevalence of scents akin to Creed Royal Water and/or GIT, feminine and male Cool Water as well as Armani ADG.

Considering also quite a few Zara, Verset, Massimo Dutti knockoffs in the case of either.

Probably, but not 100% certainly-caused by both an uncommonly early surge of springtime and even summery temperatures, even more so within a fairly moderate climate area on one hand.
But also the already widespread popularity of such fragrance types as versatile semi-formal, smart casual choices where I live, as soon as temperatures begin to increase.
