Shopping in Bahamas

Will be in Nassau in a couple months, looking to see if anyone has advice about specific shops or shopping tips beyond just saying "go to Bay St. and be careful". I'd like to be able to go to one shop and find a good selection of designer and cheaper brands, not super interested in niche or local perfumers.
