Raspberry Note.

I am not a huge fruit-based fragrance person, but this has been lingering on my mind for quite some time.

As a pre-teen, I used to drown myself in a body mist - specifically, Raspberry Body Fantasies (after a quick Google search, I was surprised to find out that this line still exists).

I have no desire to smell like my sixth-grade self, but I am wondering if there’s an adult way to indulge in the nostalgia.

Are there any recommended perfumes with raspberry in the notes?

I've come to really like Histoires de Parfums' Fidelis, but it's definitely one to try before you buy. It's basically a rose/oud grafted onto a light gourmand, with notes of coffee, saffron, and bright red raspberry alongside the usual rose, fake oud, patchouli, and amber notes in the base. The raspberry turns out to be the dominant note to my nose, but there's a lot happening under the hood. This took me a few wears to appreciate - first few wears didn't go so well - but something kept me coming back, and I've really enjoyed my sample. Now it lives on my rainy day wishlist :)

So far enjoyed the most among the fragrances with this particular note mainly but not exclusively, in otherwise no further order:

Rasasi La Yuqawam Homme, certain aspects of Tuscan Leather, Nonchalance by Mäurer & Wirtz, Rochas Man, On El by J del Pozo, POAL by Frederic Malle, l'Erbolario Acqua di More EDP, Jaguar Classic Red, l'Occitane Cerisier Rouge, Hermes Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate.

And while individual tastes may vary and even more so gender versatility of the ones among the aforementioned rated as masculine/unisex, still pleased enough with each to recommend some additional (re) testing of each.

Indeed! 😳

I’m wildly curious, though - even more so since it’s made its way on to your wishlist.

Wow, what a selection!

Thank you, Ken Russell - this is further proof that I need to get that Rhubarbe.

No excuses! I’m on it.
