I didn't see this posted yet, so I figured I would start it. Please only review the FINAL PRODUCT here.
I tested both versions over the past few days, so here are my thoughts.
Both versions are much improved over the samples. They are way more smooth upon first spray, no longer harsh for the first few minutes. Definitely blended well.
I find that they both have pretty good longevity, around 18 hours or so (skin scent after about 8-12)
Regular version::
Opens with tart pineapple, undertones of oakmoss and birch (I believe regular birch is minty, and I get a minty vibe)
stays somewhat linear, has a clean ambroxan style base with a little tartness from the fruit.
Noir Version::
Pineapple is slightly subdued and I get a tiny bit of blackcurrent rounding out the top, same undertones of oakmoss and birch for me.
Dries down very similar to the regular version with just a touch more nuance.
Overall they are good fragrances and will definitely appeal to many... I just have one issue with them. I don't feel like they are different enough from each other to warrant two versions. I wish the NOIR was a little more daring, maybe with strong patchouli coming through (like 15Y11 & 16D01) to give it a bit of an edge. I was hoping to give NOIR a sniff and get a slightly dirty edge from it, but both versions are fairly clean smelling.
