I bought this, I am disappointed they are diluted in oil not alcohol. description not clear, they are diluted to 10% in coconut oil. I’ve been studying and experimenting with alcohol dilutions. The oil base accords smell flat and not very stimulating?! If I knew these were alcohol based I would have bought undiluted accords. I understand the concept of oil based perfumes but have my head and nose wrapped around ETOH

i did get beginners kit along with a bunch of other AC’s.

What to do with these 10% accords in oil?

I would get a bunch of vials, pipettes, and a quart of perfumer's alcohol, and dilute small exact portions of your samples with EtOH in a second set of vials. That should "liven them up" for your nose.

I do this all the time with niche and artisanal parfums that are too thick and slow to develop and project for analysis, or to create "EDTs" from them for personal wear. Works like a charm!

I kept all my PA samples for reference. If you stick with this hobby, then someday you will want to sniff particular components for reference, and you'll be glad you saved them. If alcohol dilution works for you, you can dilute all your samples to make them better for you.

Also, it's instructive to create your own accords and even some personal fragrances, using these things, as a kind of micro-perfumery. You'll be surprised how good they smell! I got a whole bunch of samples of naturals from Eden Botanicals to accomplish that.
