It's a tough choice between Chanel and Frederic Malle, but I think I'd choose Malle as they have a greater variety across the range. Still I'd really miss my Chanel and Hermes!

I feel you! so sad if I could not have Le Lion and No. 19 in my life but Malle has such a wide beautiful collection... une fleur de cassie, portrait of a lady, une rose, musc ravageur, iris poudre, en passant, synthetic jungle, dans tes bras, carnal flower, rose & cuir... all gold!!

Hermes

Besides the house's indispensable 20th century classics like Bel Ami and Eau d'Hermes, Jean Claude Ellena had an amazing, prolific run from 2004 to 2016 at Hermes. I'd be completely content with almost anything he made during that time, and his creations feel pretty timeless, so they would probably hold my interest for at least a few more decades.

Boy thats a difficult question.... I'm still fairly new and digging into new houses all the time. Just one, probably Creed. They have it all. But the other trending houses in this topic are fan favorites of mine too;

MFK (all nonpolished caps are awesome)
Guerlain (huge, great smelling catalog)
Chanel (if I could wear only one probably Pour Monsieur)

Hey BNers!

Just curious as to your thoughts on this question.

if you could only pick one house/brand (not nose) and live with it for the rest of your life, what is it?

I am torn... MFK or Tom Ford. Gun to my head? Tom Ford.

TF has a great range of fragrances suitable across all seasons. TF also seems to be progressive and constantly trying new things. Not always successful, but I am excited to see what their future holds.

What say you and why?
Aramis - original Aramis, Devin, Havana, and 900, in that order.

On first reading of the question, I thought you meant house fragrance, not fragrance house. So my first thought was Antica Farmacista. I’ll have to give some more thought to answer the correct question. Feel free to lmk what house/room fragrance brands you like.

Guerlain -- because I love Shalimar so much and also some of the others. Not too crazy about the newer Wasser flavors.

That is a very good shout and many will not have tried more than maybe one or two but it’s a very difficult question when perfume becomes both a passion and a hobby, this hobby has seen me break up two relationships as the ladies just could not understand why a man needs more than 2-3. I have been lucky in that this hobby has also made me make money as i had dumb luck in having older and not reformulated perfumes. I did not see that coming, not at all. I buy at least one new frag each week and i consider myself to be a newbie, well, on forum use anyway.
