Richard James - Savile Row (current edition) Blind buy for me, highly recommended, starts masculine floral and the dry down is a bit powdery and old school.

I will revive this thread again which used to be the most informative thread (for me at least) in the past.

I dont know what happened to many beloved Basenoters who used to post here:
(to mention a few of them: Shamu 1, Hordak, ericrico, Swanky, mdclx, schnozz, AlanG, Docpsycho, Derbyman, Perfumecollector, Colin Maillard, perfaddict, Humberto, Ciprian, slayerised, easyfish, pluran, wondersin, badarun, epapsiou, oldspice, dimitrios) and some others i have most probably forgotten to mention.

Those people were (some of the above are still active) THE ALIVE BASENOTES LIBRARY and i terribbly miss their input.
I do hope they are all in good health and i will be very very happy if they will see this post and hopefully start coming here and share photos from their incredible collections and in depth knowledge of perfumery again.

Every old school perfume lover is of course invited! Let's bring back life to this wonderful thread!

I am wearing Patou pour Homme to celebrate the rebirth!

Marion
That’s the big very old bottle on the right. It was given to me by a friend who received from another person.
The story is:
About 50 years ago there was a perfume shop in the city of Dresden by the name “Marion”. This was obviously their own “in house made perfume” and it smells like the ancient Carons.

I think it’s a great idea to revive this thread. I’ve seen some of the members mentioned above have definitely posted recently. It might reignite the fires of some of those old school fragrance storehouses to post again!

Today I’m going with my favourite Jacques Polge sandal,
Tiffany For Men Cologne and AS.
