Incredible quality, a different world compared to most releases nowadays.

Also one of the few scents in my collection I never go noseblind to, picking it up from start to finish.
Undoubtably because of the materials used.

Not sure how you tried, but it's one of those that you get a much better grasp of once you've worn it at least several times from a bottle or a sizeable (> 5ml) decant.
Just marvellous stuff, one of the best I've come across. My third most worn scent.

I like your line of thinking in comparing the New York EDT and Intense.

I loved it however my wife did not. Each and everytime I wore it she commented negatively. I gave it to my father in law.

I absolutely love the stuff. Not everyone around me does. I do sometimes prefer the original EdT, and I haven't sprung for a full bottle of either one in part because I don't know which I'd wear more, and in part because I'm not sure I'd wear either often given how my wife and kids feel about it/them.
