So I travelled to a few Greek islands and one week in turkey as well and I picked up some interesting fragrances!!
Vintage CK Escape :
It's much better blended than the current batches and lasts till the next day.
Kenzo Air :
Now this is interesting. I never bought this back in the day. It was discontinued pretty fast for a Kenzo fragrance. These bottles never came in full. The juice was always a little more than half full. If I hadn't checked on YouTube I never would have known this and I thought these two bottles were either used or defective. Luckily I bought them and it's a wonderful licorice based vetiver.
YSL Jazz :
It's an older tall glass bottle with the frosted word Jazz on the back. No ingredient list on the box so it must be 2004-05. Now this packs quite the punch. Its a bit old school for sure but I'm glad that I found a bottle.
Van Cleef & Arpels TSAR :
Now I know this is discontinued and prices have gone up like crazy. It was a blind buy and it's pretty embarrassing how cheap I got it. The big surprise is just how much I like this. I've never smelled something so green. For me this is in my top ten favorites as of now.
Its a classic for sure and smells expensive.
Beyond Paradise Estee Lauder
Now this is also discontinued. I had never tried this but I was aware of Luca Turin's five star review of this fragrance.
Its pretty amazing as a summer scent I can tell you that. The fruits and citrus are so real you can almost taste them.
This is one of the best tropical scents ever.
Dirty English Juicy Couture
I finally picked up an older bottle with the metal cap and charms.
This is so much better than the Elizabeth Arden reformulation . I now get good performance and projection and it smells rich. The stuff out there now is pretty bad.
D&G L'amoureux
Never tried this one either. It was cheap so I thought why not? It's one the better releases from the anthology series. You can wear this all through the year good performance and smells really nice.
Its a shame these were discontinued.
Last but not least I found an older bottle of the darker coloured Spicebomb and it packs quite the punch.
And at the end of my trip I picked up a bottle of Antaeus which is just the icing on the cake! Anyway I hope everyone here had a great summer!
