:tekst-toppie:Kumquat, this is a stunning collection of perfume bottles you have here. Do you have any favorite/s which you went through faster than others? Which are your favorites if we may ask? The aesthetic designs on some of these bottles are, like, art.

Thank-you, Hednic and PaulH. It's one of my favorites so far, too.

Hmmm, I don't know about that. They're all so different. Maybe I will put together some still life pictures using my favorites in the future. I agree these are definitely art pieces. I guess that's why I'm attracted to them. I especially Ike the really old ones. It's amazing to me that they have survived all these years without damage. While a few still contain perfume, most are antiques which were purchased empty.

Here is a favorite of mine. The dark Ruby red glass is rare. I love the gold stars. I'm pretty sure this is 19c French. It's very heavy. I photographed it with the last rose from October.

I haven't but my cat jumped around and broke one once. Luckily it wasn't an important piece.
Was that one of the reasons you got that beautiful imported glass display furniture not too long ago as an added measure of protection?

Iridescent glass by 'Steuben' in peacock blue, circa 1910-20's with atomizer still soft and squeezable.
Atomizer appears to be original. 7" tall

It's glorious. With a bulb that's still soft! Someone took very tender care of that bottle.
Yes, it's very unusual to find them still soft and pliable. I suppose it could be a replacement bulb but it matches very well.

Here's a new (to me) bottle. It's from Czechoslovakia and appears to be a period piece from the deco era. Amber colored with molded roses in the corners.

Oh, so gorgeous. Just impeccable.

Thank-you! This one is very heavy crystal and is 3&3/4" wide by 2&1/2" high at the shoulder. I really like these that are very old. This one would have had a bulb-atomizer on it.

Just acquired this dark red atomizer. It appears to be by DeVilbiss. The squeeze bulb is gone but could be replaced. Not sure if this is gold plated or just brass. It's very bright. A pretty gold band around the base. Circa 1920's

That is so beautiful, kumquat - sculptural, elegant, refined, sumptuous. What a marvelous find.

Thank-you, Bonnette! I just couldn't resist this one. It really is different from any of the others and I only had to pay $45 for it!

Thanks, Sea Roses! It's so great to hear from you. I am so happy you enjoyed looking through the collection. I'm slowing down a great deal because I just have too much stuff. Here and there an item might slip by, though!

You must be over the moon with this addition to your collection! The bottles and box look like they're in immaculate condition, colors fresh and crisp - must have been stored in a drawer and kept safe and out of the sun.

Wow, Kumuat, I've never seen anything like those DeVilbiss, with their stemware bases. How many inches tall are they?

And from back in this thread: that bottle with Faberge etched in its glass stopper floored me. It's marked Flambeau, right? I only know Flambeau as a cheapie drugstore scent from Faberge... did they actually made it as a parfum at some point in time?
