SOTD Ambre Tabac by Daniel Josier

this is such a sweet and comforting scent.
Wednesday is my home office day and me and my son Leo are always looking forward to this day, because we go together through our village to his kindergarden. it is a slightly snowy, freezing morning here in Austria but the sun is just pushing through the clouds. the fresh clean smell of the air, mixed with all kinds of scents (mostly chimney smoke, farm smell and fresh bread from bakeries) accompanied with lots of excited singing birds left and right & cow and sheep sounds.
the laughter and chattering of Leo while his little hand in mine and every now and than getting whiffs of Ambre Tabac with its sweet, incensy tobacco aroma - is just heavenly.
what a start to the day!

have a good one friends - hope your choice of the day is as also appropriate for making your day a little better.

Renato, I love your SOTD! I have a bottle as well, and am looking forward to wearing it this summer. In addition to being, IMO, a fun and uplifting scent, it holds very special sentimental value for me as well. Cheers.
Yes - is the psychology of the name or the scent itself, or a combination of both - I always feel happy when I put on Happy.
It was a warm day here today.
Cheers,
Renato

Yesterday's snow came to nothing, but it's still wintry. WFH today. SOTD is Bottega Veneta EdP, which I've not worn for a while : suede leather, plum and violet (the latter two not mentioned in the BN notes pyramid, but definitely there). Should stand up to the cold.

ETA : speaking of note pyramids - there's no oakmoss in this either (despite what the BN pyramid says), and none mentioned in the list of ingredients (nor any treemoss). It's a modern, so-called 'chypre' scent that uses patchouli as an anchoring basenote, in a similar way to how modern RL Polo has more leather and patchouli to replace the oakmoss in vintage versions.
