Deep, resinous fragrance. Mixed of different tree resins including Indonesian Oud and unnamed species of South American red resins (Sangre de Drago), Sandalwood and Tobacco add a nice touch to the strong resins.

I think my scent journey is over with this one.

Masculine, Fresh yet Deep, different but not polarising (albeit the mint is strong at first), a dumb reach yet an intelligent composition, long lasting but not overpowering.

Very hard to fault.

Guerlain Heritage Eau De Parfum

First actual full wearing, going three sprays, of Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums. I sprayed it on about 2 hours ago. The opening very much reminds me of Ralph Lauren Purple Label and then it has something in it that I haven’t put my finger on but is kinda clashing with the opening. At this point I’d say it smells kinda like you layered Purple Label over a Guerlain like Coriolan. Both great on their own but I’m not sold on the mix. I do think this has better sillage than smelling at skin level. The first time I tried it, my brother was with me and we both felt as thought it would be a good to great fragrance for an outdoor event or even a smoky environment. Time will tell. FWIW, my admin just walked into my office and said, “Oh you smell nice today. Is that something new?” And she made that statement as soon as she walked through the door, which is about 15 foot from where I currently sit. Keep in mind, 3 sprays a couple hours ago it was applied. I’m going to have to agree that this is a fragrance you have to be careful not to overspray. At this point, I’m giving it a soft thumbs up. I’ll have to update later on longevity etc.

The original, the best. It’s a cold winter morning. I’m wearing one of my favorite summer fragrances to get through it.
