It’s a vintage bottle of Lagerfeld Classic. My dad gave it to me in the late 1980s. Still in great shape. I don’t wear it very often. Broke it out tonight because I bought the new Lagerfeld biography. I feel like I just need a little luxury in my life.

This is a straightforward and easygoing Oud fragrance. It opens with the tenacity you’d expect from oud but settles quickly into lovely oud and patchouli mixture with a touch of musk. Perhaps some amber is there but it plays way in the background. This fragrance is ‘quiet’ enough for westerners to appreciate the oud. Sillage is deceiving and better than you realize. A quality fragrance. I’m not yet convinced that an equal experience couldn’t be had for a better price. More wearings will decide. Based solely on the smell, it’s a thumbs up for me.
