Jacques Bogart One Man Show Emerald Edition

It’s been calling me from the back of my collection for weeks now. A good excuse to wear it today. It’s fun, an appropriate homage to the original OMS, another winner from Bogart.

I’ll join in on the green theme tonight for a work event I’m going to attend. However, for now I was drawn to wear from a sample set just received. My SOTD is Musc Moderne by Darren Alan.

I’m really enjoying these Darren Alan fragrances. I only wished I’d found the house sooner. These are quality fragrances. Regarding Musc Moderne, I get salty floral white musk. Wears with the weight and feel of something like Millesime Imperial. Don’t misunderstand, it’s not a dupe or clone. Musc Moderne is doing its own thing. But lovers of vintage Millesime Imperial will certainly appreciate this fragrance as well. One thing that stands out to me in this fragrance, and others from the line that I’ve tested, is a gorgeous osmanthus accord that is used. I have an osmanthus tree at my work (and they’re all throughout the southern states) and the accord Darren Alan uses is exactly as the stunning blossoms I’m used to smelling. I love the smell osmanthus (I’m into gardening) and Darren Alan has struck another home run with me. I can’t speak of longevity at this point but will report back later. FWIW, my wife really enjoyed this one as well. I’ll do a proper review soon.

SOTM (early board meeting to sign off accounts and Annual Return) : GF Trumper Spanish Leather. Followed by SOTD Equipage.

I've not tried the EDP unfortunately to compare but this is really good , not too heavy or dense but has good depth

Clive Christian C Green Floral for women. On my skin, this is a beautiful, slightly fruity (apple), green scent with slight rose undertones that I find unisex. I find it a perfect office scent that is not too heavy to wear. It is a very fresh scent for me to wear and I love it on my skin.

Still holding off on full green until later, my SOTE for a work event is Eternity for men, Calvin Klein distributed. For me, there’s an appreciable difference between vintage Eternity and the stuff distributed by Coty. Namely, the vintage is less skreechy and has a soft sandalwood accord in the base that gives a smooth backbone.
