I just blind bought this based on reviews and the fact that I couldnt find and samples to try and Im super stoked! Id love to hear some more feedback on this one while I await its arrival. Hows longevity and projection? What kind of spice notes does it incorporate? Ive heard it compared to Musc Ravageur and LDDM and I love both, how close is it to these? Has anyone tried anything else from this line? Thanks in advance!

Maybe this will help. I'm curious about Meharees too, but I'm not ready to drop nearly $50 on a blind buy. I've been trying re-eeee-eeeee-eally hard to stop blind buying... but Meharees really has me tempted.

Yeah, was just going to say that I made a thread asking about it recently. I still ended up buying MR just because people say Meharees is spicier and I like the subdued nature of MR, plus it has a lot more muskiness from my understanding, and I enjoy musk.

Projection and longevity are fantastic. It smells a lot like the dry down of MR so if your familiar and like that then your going to feel right at home with Meharees. The best way I can describe it is it's a spicy/very slightly musky/heavy vanilla. To my nose it smells just like the bakery section of a grocery store. Spicier version. One bit of advice is less is more with this one and when you spray it keep it about a foot away from your skin. I actually layer this with Pure Havane and it's an absolutely fantastic combination.

Thanks for the link, I must have just missed that on the front page. Ill post my thoughts when it arrives sometime this week. Anyone try anything else from this line yet? Some their other stuff sounded interesting too, such as the Sandalo.

PS There is a 10% off promotion on the http://www.cybercucina.com/ccdocs/products/572.html site going on right now L'homme blanc. Sorry to tempt you.

The nice cosy drydown of Musc Ravageur without the awful cloves on top. Didn't believe that it could be possible at first, even if 65 people on Fragrantica thought they smelt similar, so I went to test.

Boy, was I convinced. Bought the Meharees. Never looked at a decant/bottle of Musc Ravageur again.

For those that have tired Erbolario, how heavy are the cloves? I'm not a really big fan of cloves, but I can deal with some underlying within the fragrance. I'm really looking for something that represents the Middle East and exudes a desert vibe...very warm, very spicy, slightly smoky. Does Meharees L`Erbolario bring you to the Sahara?

Meharees seems to me to have less cloves than MR, but Meharees is not going to bring you to the Sahara. I guess you're looking for L'ADDM.

There isn't a clove note in Meharees. That's why some people prefer it to MR. As far as bringing you to the Sahara I would say it does. It has a middle eastern type spice to it.

Ok, so I received my bottle in the mail today. WOW! Really great stuff here. And yes this does smell very very very similar to Musc Ravageur without the clove note. Are they identical? No. Is the quality the same? Pretty damn close. Is MR needed in your wardrobe if you own Meharees? Not for me, but thats up to you. I really prefer this to MR. It is very warm, very spicy, not smoky at all, and drips with a desert vibe. If anyone has ever tried the MR spray oil, this is almost identical to it. As far as projection and longevity go, its been 3 hrs since I sprayed myself and it is still going very, very strong. Projection is a little above average for an EDP after the first couple of hours.

Overall, this is a real gem that hardly gets any play around here. Im really thinking about ordering a backup bottle of this right now in case it ever gets hard to find. Yet another uber successful blind buy for me thanks to reviews by other BN members. YESSS!!!!

Fullcollapse. Have you tried Sandalo and Muschio Bianco? I am going to blind buy them together with Meharees though not sure how the Muschio Bianco compared to Acca Kappa's white moss.

I have not. Sandalo sounds very promising though. If the quality and execution is anywhere close to Meharees I would purchase it in a heartbeat. If you do buy them, Id really like to hear your thoughts on them as I am very impressed with this house so far.

I have smelled the line in Italy. Sandalo and Muschio didn't register, which means that they didn't seem much to me. I should go to Italy soon, and if I do, I'll report.

It's kind of hard to get which is why I think it doesn't get enough talk. Great quality juice at a reasonable price.

It is similar to MR and very nice. As much as I like MR (and I enjoy the cloves and musk) - I can't deny that this is so much better value.

This stuff is great, can find it fairly often on Amazon from some reputable sellers. Don't think its popular or expensive enough to knock-off to be quite honest if you are worried about the authenticity.

With that said, I much prefer it to Musc Ravageur because of the lack of that horrendous, in my opinion, opening. Granted, some people like that opening, but I do not care for it at all. Meharees is the way to go.

Is anyone in California able to order this other than from eBay and Basenotes? It hardly eeeeever comes up in those places. The regular seller says L'Elbolario cannot be shipped to California?!?!

You can pretty much always find it here: http://www.cybercucina.com/ccdocs/products/572.html

This is the direct importer of the whole line to the states. If you find it somewhere else in the US it came from these guys. Unless you live in California. Then you get NOTHING! NO MEHAREES FOR YOU! EVER!

Excited now, I have asked for some samples of the other fragrances. I doubt they have any but maybe they will be kind and decant me some.

I'm looking forward to more reviews as those of you who ordered this get a better feel for it. Meharees has been on my radar for quite a while, but man do I suck at pulling the trigger on blind buys.

Its not their fault though. Its L'Erbolario Lodi that requests that it not be shipped to Cali. Guess they are not a fan of California. Who knows....

I'm going to guess it's an issue of taxes or some sort of odd legality, otherwise, they'd never want to avoid such a huge customer base. It is odd though. I wonder what the deal is.

The biggest challenge with this scent is getting hold of it! To have it shipped to Oz, I would have to join and go through a third party shipping organisation - hassle.. I eventually just ordered a 10ml decant from TPC, but then it loses it's value for money..

I too think they could sell a lot of this frag if they made it easier to buy!

Ed have you had a chance to give it a wearing? I think you're the only guy in Cali with a bottle of this lol

I feel lucky indeed, thank you Alex! I'm totally into fragrance bottles and packaging and I've been mostly playing with the bottle it's so pleasant to the touch and the graphics are dreamy. But about the juice. I only sprayed once on my forearm this morning but will wear it out tonight. What I can tell so far is that it has the musk a la RV smooth and sexy but not the aggressive spices. The problem for me in RV and L de Lolita are the strong slices combined with the sweetness that somehow end up nauseating for me. But not here. I'll report more with more testing. I'm so happy I have this in my wardrobe.

One other Californian got in under the wire. ;) Such a bizarre policy that I've never heard of except for perhaps certain firearms and components, invasive species and 190 proof Everclear.

LOL yes. By the way, the myrrh is quite evident here to me.
I can smell the one spray through my shirt sleeve (long, buttoned). It's snuffed my SOTD Aramis 900.

I have trouble with CLOVE notes. I dislike cloves.

I would love my exclusive, beautiful and rare bottle of Domenico Caraceni 1913 if it did not have a prominent clove note. The clove spoils everything for me.

That is why I prefer Meharees to MR.

Wow.

Not tested properly just my wrist. That comes tomorrow.

MR is not bottle worthy anymore.

The opening Is different to a point I was wonderig will this last through out.

Got a orange or lemon note somewhere

20mins in wow...

Side by side test in a few mins.

Damn. Surprised. May change when I properly test it tomorrow.

This thread is the reason I like basenotes.

Just got Sandalo, Meharees, and Dolcelisir... The first sniff of them is quite smooth and not synthetic at all. Dolcelisir is very yummy and agree that it has Ambre Narguile's vibe. For now I still prefer MR to Meharees as I think the clove note is unique but that might change... Sandalo is good too but cannot think if it's similar to any, not ..Terre d'Hermes to my nose. Thus far I am surprised and impressed with the quality of these three. Another great blind buy. Thanks guys.

I've been lurking since first seeing this thread as I'm a hardcore Musc Ravageur fan, gone through a 50ml entirely and now about 1/3rd through my 100ml. It's a scent I'm very familiar with and I was curious about this Meharees. My bottle was delivered this morning and I did a full wearing right when it showed up and another a few minutes ago and I echo what others are saying, this is no joke. A true Musc Ravageur killer. The first couple of minutes reveal the biggest differences but those differences are as minimal as it gets. Ravageur is a little bit stronger, but Meharees is plenty strong too and lacking the medicinal old man note at the start of Ravageur. Overall it's more versatile and the dry down smells better than Ravageur to me, plus its only $40 for 50ml on Amazon. And I think the square bottle is far more attractive on my perfume shelf than the Malle bottle. Needless to say I'm very eager to experience the rest of this line, and I want to thank everyone in this thread as this perfume probably wouldve never come to my attention without it. I'm heading out this weekend and plan on wearing two sprays of Meharees with a spray of Pure Malt on top of it, will report how it goes.

Just received Meharees two days ago. Meharees has a light vanilla vibe with a slight medicinal note in the initial spray (not bad at all). I do get the myrh and light spices with this one. Semi gourmand frag with a nice projection and the longevity is good also on my skin (about 8 hours). I never tried Musc Ravageur before, so I can't compare the two. I do know I like this one and will getting a few more wears before the weather gets hot ( I don't advise wearing this in the summer). Give this one an 8 out of 10.

Mix 1 part meharees with 2 parts Pure Havane. You still get the opening and tobacco of Pure Havane, but it's more along the lines of Tobacco Vanille.
