Fun thread! :D

Kiss: Acqua di Parma Profumo - or maybe Christian Dior Diorling.
Marry: Mitsouko. Though I'd cheat a lot, I'd always go back.
Kill: Shalimar Souffle de lumière. What was I thinking? (If swap list items don't count, I'd get rid of Club de Nuit Intense because, in truth, I find Noir de Noir much better. Plus the bottle is fugly.)

I spy with my little eye, two on the righthand side of the frame in a blue cap and a green biggie bottle that are making me sweat like a dog begging for a treat! 😂🤣

Kiss: I’m somewhat curious about Ensar Oud’s stuff.
Marry: From my collection - Clive Christian 1872 (modern but teases my vintage affections), or Creed Santal Imperial, or older Millesime Imperial, or…. Hard to believe I’ve been married for 27 years as noncommittal to one fragrance as I am huh? Not from my collection - Creed Aubepine Acacia. Would work in any of my situations.
Kill: Lalique Hommage a L’Homme

There are a lot here for me to read up on ✅

Kiss
Vintage Polo
I have the reformulation, but I want to see if the original stuff is truly better. The current reform is nice, but the dry down is kinda gross more often than not. I'd like to see if there is some magic in the original that makes it work better.

Marry
B&R Metal Rain
This is my go-to these days, and it can be worn in just about any weather, any situation. It smells like a Creed fragrance, and at other times I get hitns of Fahrenheit. It's sporty and the drydown is closer to a men's sport deodorant, so that very much ticks the box of something that should be a daily wear.

Kill
Pancaldi for Men Concentree
John Varvatos Artisan Pure

The Pancaldi is a classic-smelling fragrance, I like the idea of it...but it's just too damn much, too heavy, and kind of on the crude side. I always regret wearing this, even in cold, freezing weather. It bothers the hell out of my face, making it feel itchy or sweaty. I only keep it because it's rare and has a cool looking bottle design.

JV Artisan Pure is such an elegant looking bottle, and I like how it starts out herbal, fresh, and green. And then it dries down further, and I smell pop-corn. If it weren't for the top notes and being part of my meager JV collection, I'd have given it away.

I loved how detailed you were with all of your choices.

Kiss: Guerlain Djedi. Not likely to ever happen though as it's as rare as hen's teeth.

Marry: Samsara. lt's the closest thing l have to a signature scent, & always makes me feel comforted.

Kill: Passage d'Enfer. l like it, but l have to be in the right mood for it, so it hardly ever gets worn. l've barely made a dent in my bottle, & l don't think l'd miss it if it were gone.

Djedi seems like quite the interesting one!

I’d just learned of its existence the other day.

1. Kiss: Vintage Bois des Iles Parfum. I even had my eye on a bottle on eBay (super-rare here in the UK), but was outbid.
2. Marry: Fils de Dieu by ELDO. It's super versatile and makes me happy. Ask me in 5 minutes though, and I'll give you a different answer...!
3. Kill: Hmm. This one's difficult. Probably the original 4711. It's not a bad scent, but just a tad too 'functional' to me.

Dang, I'd have gladly taken it off your hands had I known this, but I have two backup bottles now (long story...). It's my partner's favourite scent.

I hope you get your hands on another bottle of the vintage Bois des Iles!

Great thread idea!

Kiss: likely Baccarat Rouge 540 or some other niche along similar lines

Marry: Armani Eau pour Homme, one of the few in the current lineup would go exclusive for, without regretting nor missing (almost) anything else

Kill: maybe something did buy on a whim, due to fads rather than personal enjoyment, including but not limited to Tonino Lamborghini Feroce.

Marry: Oh boy, this is a hard one! We’re talking one fragrance to wear every day, every night, year-round, in any weather, forever ever?
I‘m tempted to say French Lover, but it’s just a bit too much in the muggy, humid summers.
I‘ll have to go with… Eau Sauvage edt.
I do 💍

Kill: If I could kill off one fragrance in the world, it would certainly be Acqua Di Gio and all it’s obnoxious bug spray-ridden flankers. But since I don’t own it and must choose something from my collection… probably Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme. I’ve tried and tried and I just don’t understand the love for this one. It smells like powdery grandma perfume.

I loved reading your post!

That Ralph Lauren bottle is so satisfying. The simple shape, the heavy top … the thick, red glass … the crow in me is loving all of its glossy glory.

You can get a decant of the original Lauren from Surrender to Chance! I wore it in high school and recently rediscovered it 😍

Kiss: Caron's Voeu de Noel (this is just one. I'd totally try to kiss around a lot under the mistletoe before settling down).
Marry: Caron's Nuit de Noel extrait. At first it doesn't seem so exciting, but that long term (drydown) never disappoints.
Ghost: Juliette Has a Gun's Sunny Side Up (At first the relationship seemed good based on mutual interests (sandalwood) but after awhile the relationship seems kinda one dimensional and artificial).

Eau Sauvage is such a great signature scent! Looking forward to receiving my next bottle. Had been without it for a while. This, aramis and Acqua di Parma Colonia could easily be the only 3 in my wardrobe, and I'd be happy.

Kiss - Nimitr by Parfum Prissana
Marry - MEM by Bogue Profumo
Kill - No bottles I own are kill worthy, but i've sampled Kisses Rain by Renier Perfumes and it was terrible.
I have a hate/love relationship with Bogue Profumo MEMwhen I try to be like the "big kids" and "put on my 'analytical hat'", MEM frustrates me, 'cuz I don't do "analytical" at all well, and I end-up hating it (and regretting the $130 I spent for the almost-full bottle); but when I don't do that, and just let me be me, I love it. You know what? I'm thrice married-and-divorced, so I have to ask why TF I let myself get involved with this "Kiss-Marry-Kill" thread!
Answer: Because "most Basenoters engage in fragrant polygamy"... so blame the OP. :p

Fragrance Edition.

Which fragrances would you choose?

Kiss - What perfume would you like to try for the very first time?

Marry - If you had to choose one fragrance from your wardrobe to be your everyday “signature” scent, which would it be? (Strictly theoretical, since most Basenoters engage in fragrant polygamy … I believe @Trilby Lark came up that phrase, or a better version of it).

Kill - If you had to get rid of one bottle from your collection, which one would it be?
Kiss-Krigler Eleganter Schwan 06

Marry-I couldn't remain faithful. I would cheat between Dior Eau Sauvage, Chanel Pour Monsieur and, Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale.

Kill-Dior Sauvage Eau de Toilette and, Elixir. I have both and, after a year of ownership I still don't get what all the fuss is about. They do everything adequately and nothing exceptionally.

I had to think about this for a bit, but settled on:

Kiss - Ottoman Empire by Areej Le Dore, which is never going to happen, but it sounds so good!
Marry - at the moment, it's Lys Mediterranee by Frederic Malle, it has been for over a year or so. I am not monogamous but if I were...
Kill - Probably Niveau Sun EdT. It's a bit of a nostalgia novelty item, does a wonderful job of transporting me to my childhood, but it's not a fully realised perfume and as such I could live without it.

Kiss - Nishane Wulong Cha

Marry - Gentleman's Reserve Privee/Invictus Aqua (GRP for night/winter/fall, Aqua for summer/spring. Yes I live in southwest US can you tell?)

Kill - Joop Homme (I DO NOT like this) or Black Phantom (I wanted to love this SO BAD but I just can't stand it!)

Ooh this is tough so I tried to go with my first thought.

Kiss: Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist. I tried it long ago before I was so obsessed with fragrances and it's one of those must haves I keep putting off and I really want to try it in it's current form as some complain about reformulation. It's now impossible to try in store in the U.S. and I can't bring myself to blind buy it (and I'm stubborn about paying for samples).

Marry: Frederic Malle French Lover. I was temped to say Le Lion which I wore today and really enjoyed, but I think it's too robust for me to wear everyday, stricly for torrid affairs then.

Kill: This is hard because I really carefully buy and if I didn't like something I wouldn't own it. Maybe my Nishane discovery set? If it has to be a bottle, maybe Heeley Chypre 21. I enjoy it but have been considering selling it because I hardly ever wear it.

Awesome thread idea.

Kiss: this changes by the day, but today it's Pascal Morabito Or Black. Apparently it's only available direct from the house, and I've come so close to blind buying in the past... until I get to the final purchase page and remember the overseas shipping charges are brutal.

Marry: Chanel Sycomore EDP. I always call this my "goldilocks" vetiver, but it's really my goldilocks scent. Does everything I want, it's easy to wear, and it's still weird enough to be striking. (If I had a side piece, it'd be Comme des Garcons Black.)

Kill: Serge Lutens L'Eau d'Armoise. It's completely inoffensive, but somehow depressing - the top notes of spearmint and wormwood are gorgeous but short-lived, and the base is beyond bland. So much promise unfulfilled. I have other scents I could unload if push came to shove (maybe Lalique Pour Homme, Geoffrey Beene Bowling Green, or Azzaro Visit), but they don't disappoint me in the same way as L'Eau d'Armoise, which just fails to deliver the Lutens experience.

Kiss: WitchMusk by House of Matriarch. It's the one thing on my very long to-try list that I just genuinely can't at the moment, since it's not on the website and it's too indie to have decants elsewhere. Unsure if it's discontinued or just seasonal, but for now it eludes me.
Marry: Heresy by Chapel Factory. I've fallen in love with my sample enough that I want to pursue a full sized bottle, and while there are other fragrances I might like more situationally, they're much less versatile. Heresy has the incense and woods I like in the autumn and winter months while also having enough of a sweet violet note on my skin to wear in spring.
Kill: Javan Rhino by Sanctuary. I love how this smells, but doesn't really suit me, and it's not really what I want for the little wardrobe I'm cultivating. I'd much prefer it on someone else, I think, or as a scented candle given how creamy and sweet the notes are.

There are so many I want to try that I haven't but this one is probably quite high up the list.

Marry: Chanel Pour Monsieur.
This is also a tough one as there's so many I like. It would be particularly hard to give up my Eau Sauvage.

Kill: This one's by far the easiest of the three. I still have an old bottle of Joop! Pour Homme I never wear any more, I would be quite happy to give this one the boot.

Kiss Guerlain Bouquet de Faunes, probably the Jacques Guerlain creation I'm most curious about ATM, because it sounds so atypical of the rest his work.

Marry Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT (I'm so sorry Rive Gauche PH, I wouldn't blame you for never wanting me to wear you again after reading this!)

Kill Truefitt & Hill Freshman because I wanted something very similar to Creed's GIT without the lemon verbena, which always makes me feel a tad nauseous. But it's a scent profile I've decided I don't want long-term in my collection anyway!

I’ve yet to try any of the Bond No. 9s, and I’m not sure if I ever will. It’s such a shallow thing to say, but those bottles just deter me like no other.
The Bond No. 9 bottles are a bit ridiculous (and surely contribute to their being overpriced, IMHO), but I do enjoy some of the fragrances. I won't pay MSRP for them but at a discounter, sure. I only have Central Park West, and admittedly dig the houndstooth bottle.

Kiss: Extremely unlikely to ever happen, but Scent of Oger. My longing is made all the more bittersweet given that I was in Amsterdam at the time that this fragrance was easily available to purchase, if only I had known of its existence...

Marry: Probably Acqua di Parma Colonia. It wasn't my first love, and there are others I'm more deeply head over heels for, but in terms of everyday exclusivity I'm not sure I can think of a better fit.

Kill: A few to choose from. I don't think I need to give this one too much thought. Let's say Encre Noir, simply on grounds of being one of the least-used fragrances in my collection.

...and maybe a few parallels to other areas of life wrapped up in that thinking too!
