Which of these two sweet "yummy" scent do you prefer? For me it`s almost impossible to choose. It`s milk-chocolate VS cut-cake! I like the top-notes of M-R, and the heart/basenotes of A-N. Because of the wonderful basenotes of Ambre Narguile I woted for that one (with a minimal margin). Both are great though!

Ambre Narguil was far more "yummy" to me than MR, but I'm relying on a distant memory. Need to try MR again.

Musc Ravageur is an overall better fragrance IMO.

Ditto. Like many have said, the Hermes one smells way too close to an apple pie for my tastes. I like the smell of it, but if given the choice between the two would take MR in a heartbeat.

MR is a much better fragrance IMO. AN makes a really good room spray but unfortunately not at that price. I find everything from the longevity to the projection to the overall smell far superior on MR!

Hermès Ambre Narguilè wins all day everyday. Just like MR it has excellent projection and longevity, and the dry downs aren't too dissimilar. However, I feel Ambre Narguile has a much more appealing opening. MR doesn't work on my skin.

MR by a long shot. AN is pleasant, comforting and something I'd enjoy smelling, just not smelling like.

Ambre Narguilé by far! I don't particularly like Musc ravageur. Actually I don't like it at all.

Ambre Narguile wins for me, hands down. Really good longevity too, it was my SOTD yesterday and I was still catching whiffs of it over 12hrs later at 9-10pm.
I don't mind the dry down of MR, but I cannot stand the opening notes and neither could anyone else I asked to try it.

I do like both fragrances, but I adore Hermès Ambre Narguilè the most. I've only worn MR from sample. I don't love it as much.

Fascinatingly enough, I get yelled at by my girlfriend whenever I sample Musc Ravageur, but not when wearing my Ambre Narguil. She finds the vanilla sweetness in MR WAY too sweet. We both agree on the fact that AN isn't as sweet, though. It's more "warm" than "sweet", which is what really separates the two.

We both LOVE the opening on MR, but the mid / base is just way too sweet for - to be honest - both of us - so no go there. Everyone that smells AN loves it, though. My gf had a friend over yesterday and she got to smell AN and just really loved it. She loved Aventus as well though - heh. Gawd I love my frags <3

And oh - voted for AN obviously.

I own and love both! However, I find MR more complex and interesting. If I really have to choose one, I would for MR.

Wow, tough decision, I went with AN but I actually think I get more excited to wear MR, so I'm 2nd guessing myself. I'd say both are decant worthy and it's too close to call.

Interesting horse race; they're neck-n-neck at this moment.

I went MR as I have a bottle.

The heftly 4ml AN sampler will suit me just fine, courtesy of the fine SA, ms. eleva, Hermes-Chicago.
