Help with authenticity of Shams Oud 100ml tester

I recently purchased a tester from fragrancenet.com for a 100ml tester of Memo Paris Shams Oud. I took a chance at a good price thinking maybe it was a typo because from what ive seen shams only comes in 75ml. Shipment came today and this is what I got
Biggest thing is the size and the frosted glass presentation. I can’t really speak to the smell because it’s been so long since I had a shams sample.

That is indeed strange. If it's from Fragrancenet, I do believe it's legit, but at the same time, I don't think I've ever seen Shams Oud in a frosted bottle, or in the 100 ml bottle. So I can't explain that. Maybe hednic can.

The lot number does match a Memo fragrance from January, 2022, and the writing on the bubble wrap matches one I just looked at on eBay. The lot numbers also match on the bubble wrap and the bottom of the bottle, which is good.

I think I'd spray it and see if it smells ok and like something you remember, and in the meantime, buy a sample of it somewhere to compare. I'd also call Fragrancenet to see if they have an explanation.

I did find my sample of shams and to me it smells like shams but the top has kind of turned a bit. I checked the batch and it does match 2022, but since they repeat every 10 years, I’m wondering if it’s actually from 2012. I know European duty free stores sometimes get strange presentations. At the end of the day though, it does smell off. Unless I can clear the tube with some sprays I’m gonna try to return it. The base does smell correct. It’s just so strange that I can’t find anything online about it.

Yeah, the only Memo fragrances I've seen in 100 ml bottles are those short, squatty bottles they use for some of their scents.

Good luck if you decide to return it. They are usually very nice over the phone. I've returned a few things to them over the years and they always send me a return label so I won't be out any money on the return.

I know 10 years old seems crazy. Would you happen to know if the faceplate on the bottles metal or plastic?
