I mean the review on kafkaesque sounds exciting (minus the norlimbanol). But this ad is too hilarious.


Edit: The more suitable term is probably fetishism instead of SM. But still, this thingy irritates me. It reminds me of the red hot detail here.

Held off buying this longer than I thought I could, but finally pulled the trigger, the ninth in the line. Not sure why it is priced 100 Euros more than their other Extraits de Parfum but oh well am looking forward to receiving it. Hope it's as good as the glowing reviews.

My first impressions about Hard Leather are very positive. Only received it a few days ago. The first thing I noticed is that the leather right off packs a wallop upon application, very noticeable but it's not a stark or raw leather. Rather it's a sweet smelling leather, perhaps due to the interplay of the rum with the leather. It continues to maintain the sweetness through the heart, but I wasn't able to pick up any iris, possibly because the honey note seemed to me to be the more prominent. The dry down was great - a nice incensy woody mix of cedar and sandalwood. Didn't get that much oud. Longevity was excellent, but I wouldn't have expected anything less from a extrait de parfum. This has definitely become my favorite of the 9 in the line. Now I can't wait for the next two Extrait de Parfums in 2014 - "Army of Lovers" & "Lost Paradise"

Lost Paradise sounds more my style. I'm running from "Hard Leather", and "Army of Lovers" is throwing an army of question marks at me!

I tried my sample of Hard Leather for the first time yesterday - probably not one that I'd be comfortable wearing as opposed to sniffing on someone else, but pretty much agree with hedic's impressions (wrote down 'boozy, spicy leather' but was then distracted so will return later).
Can't wait to try the other samples!

Edit - Hmm, might wear it actually, or buy it and wear it at home.
Currently enjoying the way that the frankincense & cedar are just toned down a bit by a tiny trace of vanilla.
Nothing unpleasant in here at all.

I can definitely understand your going back and forth on this as it's one that would require some time
getting used to. It's not timid. Glad you were able to get a sample so quickly and try it out.

True, It's either love or hate at first sniff. Not an easy one for everyone to wear. Blind bought a bottle of this. I seem to fall into the former group.

Actually my understanding is that LM Parfums has its headquarters out of Premiere Avenue in Grenoble, so ordering from LM Parfums or Premiere Avenue is the same. Thus Premiere Avenue always has the newest releases before anyone else.
