Heya!
What are some scents that is straight up erotic to your nose? That makes you think of sex when you try it?
For me it's a scented candle I would do anything to have as a frag.

A number of fragrances smell to me like sex: Ferme tes Yeux and Jardenia (both, over the top), Peau de Bete, Afrika Olifant, Jicky PDT, OG Val à Versailles Extrait, Oudh Infini, OG Eau d'Hermès and tweeked Peety.

In real life, light blooming jasmine and the hypnotic smell of my gal.

Ultimately, depending on each nose and each personal perception of anyone smelling the respective fragrances.

Having said this, always considered that certain fragrances houses in their entirety, including but not limited not Guerlain, Lubin, Lutens and Frederic Malle are over-proportionally represented in this category with almost every new scent they release.

L'Artisan Al Oudh tops my list for erotic.

Bandit and Eau d'Hermes also pretty sultry and earthy. These all have aspects that are pretty darn sexual to me. Especially Al Oudh.

I think Puredistance Black, Clive Christian X for Men, Musc Ravaguer and Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense are very sensual scents for men, but not as redolent of sex as Al Oudh, Bandit and Eau d'Hermes.

Opus XVII smells like the aftermath of sex in a hot car with leather seats that’s been sitting around for 20 or 30 minutes and neither person had bathed in a day or two prior. Oh and the ashtray is filled with fresh cigarette butts.
Somehow there are way too many spoken and unspoken 'butts' in that story for it to translate into an appealing fragrance in my mind. 😅

I do have a fragrance sample that is somewhat reminiscent of ashtray orgies (cigars only!) though, tobacco Toscano by Santa maria, and it's pleasant enough.

+1 on Tobacco Toscano. Another good suggestion.

That sounds disgusting.
It really is.

Albert Morillas went all out with this one that’s for sure. He threw in a bunch of a galbanum up top as well so there’s this crunchy green aspect followed by huge wafts of cumin and costus. So you get pretty intense body odor and in my opinion it’s a bit too literal in the “erotic” category. Like it’s not “sexy”. No one thinks of the smell of someone ELSE having sex as being sexy. It’s only sexy if it’s you and a loved one/fling making those smells. Anything else just smells gross. Unless you’re into that and I’m not here to kink shame.

Albert must be a pervert. It’s my only conclusion here.

Lutens Feminite du Bois was apparently intended as an ode to feminine nether regions... before I even knew that, I had made the same scent association. Not necessarily the most erotic of smells on its own, but make of that what you will.

I get some skankiness out of Eau d'Hermes as well, but it smells quite a bit dirtier (more armpit than crotch from the cumin, though there's some ass funk in there too, maybe from the civetone?). Again, not exactly "erotic", but it makes me think of sex.

Heady, indolic white florals and animalic notes frequently have sexual associations as a general theme (though apparently not as general as I thought; so many notes are listed here that I never would have thought of that way, so it really is quite subjective).

Thanks to both of those things, Paloma Picasso's eponymous perfume is near the top of my list.

It's trumped only by Myths Woman, which to me is like Paloma Picasso in her nightgown wandering fields of wildflowers alone at night like a pre-Raphaelite Ophelia, watching the tiny little animals scamper and chase each other around. It feels very feral, which, in the end, is how I'd describe most fragrances that feel sexy to me: there's something wild, unkempt, unhinged to them, tousled hair and sweat and the call of some solemn, eerie magic that was here before us and will be here after us too.

Femme Rochas is also fun. Less nature imagery but a good mix of bold feminine plum and animalic spices, although the cumin and heavy dose of fruit in the modern formulation can be nauseating if worn for too long or on a warm day (at least, to me).

Granted, these are all things that feel erotic to me when I wear them and smell them on myself. I can't think of any fragrances I've ever found particularly sexual on other people, though these sorts of loud, bold animalic and indolic scents aren't exactly common polite officewear, so perhaps I just haven't had the opportunity.

I've never thought any fragrance could, by itself, smell erotic; it really depends on the person or the moment. In my experience, the perfumes that seemed to fit the mood best was Kouros and Mitsouko. I do think Mitsouko has a "warm skin" quality. I was surprised about Mitsouko because I find Mitsouko's personality cerebral rather than carnal, but because it smells like warm skin, it almost has a dual nature.

Regarding Eau d'Hermes, I tested Eau d'Hermes back in the 90s, and that did remind me of the male body (so much so that I could not imagine wearing it myself even though I liked it. Odd, because I could wear Fahrenheit back then). So I guess that could be erotic too, on the right person.

Seconding (thirding?) a good strong oakmoss. I'd almost added chypres generally and Mitsouko to my list but then forgot. In a similar vein, there are some woods that feel like warm skin on me, faint traces of oak and the like. It seems they, too, have that dual quality of being slightly bitter and yet warm and slightly creamy-sweet at the heart once dried down.

Ahhh Mitsouko. The first of many "Pour Femme" that I fell in love with. I'm throwing vintage Cabochard in there as well 🥰

Bathory by Darren Alan Perfumes would get you there.

Furyo by Jacques Bogart is another pretty sensual one.

I'd say Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent but locker rooms aren't places I like to have sex

Estée Lauder Youth Dew is underrated for this effect as well.

Master by Clandestine Laboratories is a different kind of mood, but also works.
