eBay good prices with good feedback

I’m sure this has been discussed before but I was searching armani code on eBay and saw some really good prices on what seemed to be brand new in box colognes. Prices maybe 20-30% better than fragrance net. I assumed the listings had to be fakes but the accounts all had 98-99% positive feedback. If it were a sale on a 3/4 full bottle maybe I’d believe it. But full?

On eBay I always assume if the deal seems to good it probably is fake. Am I wrong to think this? Thanks.

I personally don’t see Armani Code being a popular fake, but I could be wrong. If the seller has good long term feedback then it should be fine as there are many trusted wholesalers on EBay that sell well below FragranceNet prices.

Just a for example. That’s significantly less than most places would sell it. 98% positive feedback though. We think that’s real?
I might trust 98.4% with 10,000 ratings, but not 236. You're welcome to though.

Thanks very much, appreciate the opinion of more veteran online buyer than me. Ive never bought anything from eBay, but I happened to be on it and figured it would be a good place to get some frags I've never tried before at a discounted price. Any other opinions appreciated.

I also look at the most current transactions. They might be 99.5% with 65,000 sales. I usually end up with a middle of the road price Where we’re both winning. The cheap ones always look sketchy to me. It’s a disqualifier for me, but then, I could just be missing out on some deals.

I stay away from suspiciously low prices, even if the seller has stellar feedback. I stick to the adage of “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is”.

You never know if a positive review is a plant, especially if the seller has a low feedback count. I’ve seen this happen before, and watched the drama unfold as a disgruntled buyer exposed a fraudulent seller’s auctions via the seller’s own feedback comment section. The seller soon “disappeared”.

Sometimes multiple positive reviews won’t reflect the actual product you are viewing … if you look at the “recent feedback”, if a buyer has bought the particular product you are interested in, those comments should pop up above the rest.

Best of luck to you!
