Comptoir Sud Pacifique used to have interesting scents -- deeply spicy and not too sweet. This was before their vanilla-centric and cocktail phase. Here's a good one. My bottle goes by the title L'Homme. The spices are warm, dry and satisfying. They segue into gentle woods. There is a slightly sweet and rich aspect to this, but I don't mind. Not getting much vetiver as a distinct note today -- it blends in with the spices and woods. Peppery kick even in the finish.
Top Notes: verbena, bergamot, lemon
Heart Notes: clary sage, sumatran nutmeg, allspice, ceylon clove, madagascar pepper
Base Notes: moroccan cedar, java vetiver, tonkin, musk
