Dove Men + Care Clean Comfort

Has anyone smelled this deodorant? It would make a heavenly base for a Fougere with its herbal, coumarinic, and starchy qualities. If you know it, any guesses as to what the formula could contain?

Not quite sure about Dove Care for Men (made by Unilever)...but here's a list of all the aroma chemicals used by Johnson and Johnson products neatly categorized by scent type. Found this list on this forum from another member posted this.

I've not heard "starchy" used as an organoleptic descriptor of scents before. Can you please expand a bit on what you mean? I'm thinking it could mean something like powdery, but alternatively (or in addition) refer to the "hot iron" or "clean laundry" facet of some musks (and a few other materials).

probably habanolide + some aldehydes!

I'm wearing it right now haha, from all the deodorants I tried in my youth this one and the "extra fresh" are the only ones I found that were subtle and nice. The extra fresh reminds me of a simpler terre d'hermes. The clean comfort to me smells like a lot of musk, probably habanolide for its hit iron side, and iso super, definitely coumarin and a hint of vanilla, hexyl cinnamal, dhm, alpha isomethyl ionone, I know there is benzyl alcohol and then something citrusy, maybe Bergamot or maybe just synths like citral limonene linalool etc. Also detect a slight hint of aldehyde, maybe c12 mna. This is all speculation but I hope it helps!

Thank you everyone! And what a coincidence Stefan, haha. That’s awesome. I agree, this formula must be comprised of mostly musks. Linalool is also very likely as the citrus elements here are very slight and nondescript.

Hi there, I hope you’re still active on this site. Can you give me possible perfume dupes for the Clean Comfort scent? I am going crazy trying to find something similar.
