Does Anyone like Donald Trump's "Success"?

I don't know...maybe it's a mix between the simple yet attractive bottle, and the fresh, non-offensive smell, but ever since I first tried Success, I continue to revisit it over and over, like every time I see it at a dept. store. I actually like it quite a bit. I feel a bit silly about it, actually. lol I mean, I'm at a point in my collection where I have drastically downsized, and decided to only keep/buy fragrances that I love, but lately I have been considering getting this as a an option to wear as a casual Spring & Summer scent. Especially as it is quite inexpensive (under 30 for a 1.7 bottle), I feel like snatching this up. I think I'm gonna give it one more try, and if I still like it, it just may be a cheap buy. lol

So for those who have tried it, what do you think?

Another thing I find interesting is that it has some notes that I've noticed a number of the fragrances I like have. Here are the notes:

top notes
Juniper, Iced red currant

Middle Notes
Frozen ginger, Bamboo leaves, Geranium, Coriander

Base Notes
Vetiver, Tonka bean, Birch wood, Musk

It seems like certain combinations of notes are more likely to lead to a pleasing smell for me, than others. Have you guys noticed that with yourselves?

Its a knock off of Bond's Wall Street...and it can be had
for a 10th of the price. Acceptable frag...good for summer.

I can't imagine anything promoted by Donald Trump as being anything but seedy and degenerate.

I was curious so I picked up a bottle of this and one of Empire. Both are just ok,
Success is more of a summer fresh fragrance, I might wear it if outdoor at a picnic or outdoor event because it projects very well and you do not need much, maybe 1 to 2 sprays is all you need.

Some people here seem incapable of evaluating a fragrance objectively.

I'm waiting for someone to dig up my old "Whatever it Takes - Kanye West" thread and trash that scent as well.

I truly believe that this fragrance gets so much flak simply because many & I mean many are just not fond of the man Donald Trump! My opinion will be solely on the fragrance & have nothing to do with that I think of Donald.. I actually happen to really enjoy the fragrance.. Success is a pleasant fresh clean scent with a bit of it's own distinct personality.. For the price that this fragrance can be had it highly outperforms other discount fragrances in the same price range.. Success is probably one of the most pleasant smelling celebrity fragrances that I have ever smelled but I agree it is probably not for everyone nor would I blame anyone for not wanting to give it a chance due to the name attached to it..

Can fragrances be evaluated objectively?
Associations play a huge part .
Tragedies have a strong scent association (of negative kind).

The only way this would make sense is if you were actually wearing the fragrance Success on election night, your candidate lost unexpectedly, and you were mortified as a result. For example, I'm wearing Paris Hilton for Men and Paris Hilton runs me over with her car on Rodeo Drive.

Otherwise, yes the fragrance should be evaluated objectively.

It’s absolutely fantastic. Everywhere I go people say “what are you wearing, it’s smells fantastic”. Everybody loves it. It’s tremendous.

^^^

A lot of people, great people, wonderful people, were involved in the making of the fragrance. Believe me. Believe me.

I will bypass hundreds of great jokes (SAD!), OK maybe just one, to say that I fall in and out of love with this one. It's an interesting metallic floral aquatic scent that is momentarily addictive, and I bring it out every once in a while. It's somewhat typical of Macy's-level celebrity releases from that era, but still holds up fairly well, stylistically. Empire is much more current, being a lot like 1 Million. I often liken Success to a "brushed nickel" analog of Chrome - the cue is right on the bottle.

Whew! Safe at third

Redneck - you have the best words! And you are, like, a smart person. Maybe you are even a stable genius, for all we know.

So if Creed renamed either GIT or Aventus as "Trump", you would suddenly dislike or hate the scent?

I don't understand this thinking.
If John Kerry or Mitt Romney put out a fragrance called "Failure" and it smelled very good - I'd buy it.

Well, two things you should never talk about...Politics and Religion....The people "sitting with popcorn" arent going to get what they want which is a debate.....I didn't particulary care for Obama political-wise but if he had a fragrance and it smelled good, I would probably buy it...Apparently, people cannot get over their hatred for Trump or perhaps any other past presidents but I think the OP didnt have a political debate in mind....he was just looking for advice on the fragrance not his politics.....To each is own, I guess....
