Dior Homme Sport vs Homme

I have the new 2021 sport and have heard reports that it’s very similar to Dior Homme 2020 but more citrusy.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the two scents. Curious what others think.

Pretty much same here, but still enjoying the freshness of Sport (in any version/formulation) even more

I own both but like the new DH Sport more. Fragrantica rates Dior Homme Eau de Toilette 3.86 vs. a rating of 4.12 for Dior Homme Sport ('21). Those rating accurately reflect how I feel about these two.

Not exactly a fair battle between their accumulated ratings though. Poor DH 2020 had to endure such heavy blows from the vengeful crowd, it will likely never recover. Had Dior gone with a different approach to its release, the fragrance would've been sitting at 4.15+, possibly 4.2+.

That being said, I also slightly prefer DHS 2021 at moment. Simply one of the most usable designer choices out there at the moment, casual and classy mashed into one, great performance for a freshie.

Thanks for the feedback. I wonder what the odds of Dior reformulating sport several years from now? I sure hope not.

I get that these two share a similar effect, but to me they smell pretty distinct. I prefer DH 2020 to Sport, as Sport sits on waxy aldehydes that get too laundry-like for me in the dry down. But I respect Sport for taking a clever approach to "citrus" by using lemony elemi, olibanum, and aldehydes instead of outright citrus notes. But for me, DH 2020 is easier to wear and less "confrontational" feeling. I think DH 2020 is still underrated, and agree it got a bad rap early on from fragheads just for sharing the Dior Homme name (and I say that as a huge fan of the original).
