….or boozy.

I’m looking for a fairly cheap date night/night out scent.

I hate Oud, boozy notes and over sweet/sickly/cloying gourmand type stuff.

Something masculine but not too hairy chested or 70’s like Sex Panther !

I’d like to keep it to under £65 UK.

Any ideas?
Depending on your age.....perhaps (original) Givenchy "Gentleman".

In addition to a few great recommendations already, also recommending: Yves Rocher Ambre Noir, Azzaro Onyx/Silver Black and also Visit from the same house, while on the pricier side but still reachable under 65 GBP with smaller bottle sizes-Endymion by Penhaligon's and Frederic Malle Bois d'Orage.

Cartier Declaration Essence, or any of the others from the line.

For a vetiver style, Encre Noir Sport.

For a Gucci Pour Homme ‘03 style, Bentley For Men Absolute.

Soft, clean, pleasant greens, (one of my most complimented fragrances), try Banana Republic 78 Vintage Green.

There are dupes from Afnan and Maison Alhambra to consider, if that’s a consideration.

I absolutely love Eau des Baux, but I would say it's a sweet gourmand, smells like Christmas spices to me. Perhaps Eau de Cade would be a better option?
Seconding Eau de Cade as a very dry, non sweet/boozy and also not gourmand, clean spicy scent, yet also with enough complexity and elegance as a classy date night choice.
