placed my order instantly. I love oud and osmanthus, and one of my top 10 perfume of all time is Al-mendoos by AA, a masterpiece of osmanthus and oud.
I think this will have a chypre twist to it (or at least I wish so)

To be a true chypre, a fragrance must have bergamot, labdanum, and oakmoss. Oakmoss alone does not a chypre make.

ay i love al mendoos too, and osmanthus and oud is a combo I love that's rather underutilised. Have you tried oudh osmanthus by mona di orio? I think youd love it.

Here's hoping this new auphorie isn't another miyako rendition

Asked brothers about the comparison between Miyako and new release - acording to them - they cannot be compared. Everything is different, even osmanthus, as per their words.
Hopefully when first bottles will start to arive - these words will stand true and we will be impressed

That was my understanding also after reading the description. I believe this one uses Chinese Osmanthus, and Miyako lists Japanese.

first of all, similarities with miyako is undeniable.
first impression: it open up with citrusy spicy opening that lasts for 1-2 minutes, orange is here as well, then osmanthus starts to play (osmanthus used here is a little bit darker then miyako but almost 70% similar), the heart is woody and the oud that have been used is simply gorgeous with zero funk (it is fruity floral).
drydown has a delicious gourmanish vibes with a milky sandalwood at the base.
it is feminine leaning perfume with floral fruity oud profile, blending is superb as usual from them, and it is hard to dissect the notes.
if they call it Miyako Oud it would be perfect.
overall, I'm happy with my purchase because I was thinking to grab a back up bottle of miyako, and miyako with an oudy spicy twist is fine as well (despite the price lol).
this is a first impression that might change with time, but if you are looking for an oud osmanthus perfume Al-Mendoos from AA is the one to grab.

Osmanthe Oud Huanghou arrived today, and it's gorgeous. I definitely get the connection to Miyako, but it's deeper, richer, fuller, more complex. I have Miyako on the other arm to compare side by side, and smelling them both together Miyako seems much brighter, almost candy sweet compared to Osmanthe Oud Huanghou, and more linear. (and I would never think to describe Miyako as such prior to this comparison). I wish this was 30ml, I love it.

Received in the mail yesterday and felt sad that I couldn’t smell it after a short time. Today though after a shower and shave it started to radiate. I can see the association with Mikayo but it has it own beauty And direction. To me unisex all the way. I feel it has an edge about it perhaps the oud interplay. Not loud or bold this is an abstract thought provoking wear. Very happy as I enjoy its smooth interaction with my senses.

Oud osmanthus is incredibly beautiful, I love that one.
Bump for more updates, I ain't been jumping on the bandwagon lately. I am wondering how your thoughts on Osmanthus Oud by Auphorie is.
