Amyris Homme compliments?

I know it’s somewhat looked down upon for being designer-ish relative to MFK’s other offering, but I was wondering if anyone could comment on what level of compliments they generally receive on Amyris Homme.

I know what I like myself, but I’m also interested in how non-fragrance lovers/everyday people perceive a scent as well. Any anecdotal information on how Amyris Homme goes over with regular people would be greatly appreciated. The reason I ask is in part because of its more “mass appealing” reputation. I wonder if indeed it is a hit with regular people.

No compliments from this one, but then again I don't really get any compliments from any scent. Nevertheless, it's a very nice scent and glad to have it.

This is an odd one for me. I purchased it some time ago based on the positive reviews but never really liked it and I barely reach for it. But when I do wear it, always a compliment.

I bought Amyris Homme EdT very recently. I've evaluated it alongside the Extrait, but now I'm tempted to get the Extrait as well. This on top of my recent love affair with MFK's men's EdTs (APOM, Lumiere) BR540 EdP.

In terms of compliments, I wore the EdT to bed one night, as I suppose you do with a scent that you are testing out. I know that my other half loves the tonka note from her Chanels (something in the men's Chanels that I find to much). Barely a few sprays on and she immediately picked up on it even though I thought the scent had gone. She said it was 'lovely'. I need to give this a full wearing very soon. If this is so good in winter, I can't imagine what it might be like in summer.
