And incensy ? And Oudy ? If atall any of them are ? Which one is more like on the lines of Interlude? Black Iris etc...If I am looking for some qualities of Interlude and Black Iris which one should I go for ? Boundless or Jubilation 25 ?

If you really are interested in smoke, oud and incense, then you should really be including Interlude in your list. Neither of the two you've suggested are going to fit your requirements as well as Interlude.

But if you've excluded Interlude for a reason, then I'd be going with Jubilation easily.
Guys but is the Performance of Jubilation XXV also good ? I was reading som comments in Fragrantica and people are complaining about the performance that in no time it soon becomes a skin scent. The performance is just not there ??
Jubilation is excellent in performance. If you are talking a brand new bottle, you need to leave this one time to macerate. Let some air in to the bottle and after you've used it for a bit, it'll start to build up to its full strength. It will take time, but it'll be worth it.

I have Interlude-53 🙂 but looking for some similar smelling variations.

I haven’t tried Jubilation 25 but I love Boundless.

It doesn’t quite get the love it deserves in my opinion but I do feel traces of amber in the drydown reminiscent of interlude. I get Journey man spices up top but with fizzy tobacco and cola vibes.

I get all day performance as well. Love it.

I have several vintages of JXXV Men and... 2013 opening has a blackberry feature, orange feel, olibanum feel, just every note comes in its turn in its time o every note has its own duration on my skin. In turn, the 2017 vintage is already mixed with an orange so that it does not have the juiciness and effect of sparkling fruit, which are in the 2013 vintage. Between 2013 and 2017 in JXXV Men there are different effects of feeling the top notes against each other of these two years of Jubilation XXV. I once had the original sample of JXXV Men from 2009 and this sample of JXXV Men smells the same as from 2013 in the bottle. In addition, the old version with a push-on stopper and without a magnet in the stopper have more aromatic substances.

Have you considered vintage L'Artisan Parfumeur Al Oudh? Similar to Jubilation XXV with more incense, oud and spices. It's slightly animalic and less versatile. Perfumer is the same as Jub XXV. Mudassir has one available in his sales thread.

I would want to start with a decant first not directly just jump int buying a full bottle. I am also looking for a decant of Dhanal Oud Nashwah from Rasasi so lets see...

I have not tried Boundless, but I'm currently trying out a Jubilation XXV decant from Maxaroma.

I find it magnificent, even though there is a sweetish-sourish note in the opening that literally grossed me out the first time I smelled it (yesterday). It reminds me of something in the opening of Hermes Equipage, but amplified.

There is an accord underneath that I can recognize from having smelled it on Opus VII (my only other Amouage so far), so for lack of a better word I'll call it "Amouageade."

Today I avoided smelling it up close while spritzing it, and so far my stomach has not churned once. The problem? After an hour, I can barely smell it at all, even on my wrists or my clothes. I would be OK with it being a skin scent, but it's not even that; it's a "gone with the wind" scent.

I have heard that some batches seem to have performance issues, and maybe that's what is going on with my decant. As such, I cannot recommend it.

So you are not recommending Jubilation XXV for its performance no matter how good it smells ? Right ?

Yes, that's right.

I would not mind if it lacked sillage and/or projection, but longevity is just not there. AT ALL.

Again, it could be a problem limited to some batches, or that could improve with a bit of maceration. But I cannot recommend it in good conscience, and definitely not at those prices.

Jubilation XXV for me. A beautiful fragrance, that I’ve no issues with bad notes or performance, in any form. My bottle is older but magnetic cap. I have not tried the non-magnetic cap version.

Boundless has performance issues, at least on my skin. Becomes a skin scent real fast. You need a LOT of sprays to make this one work.

I have all three. I don’t find them to be that similar. Boundless is probably closer to Interlude, but it’s definitely not that similar. I like Jubilation the most of the three. Interlude has the best longevity, but I’ve not tested the longevity of Jubilation side by side with Boundless. My wife likes the vanilla notes of Boundless and Interlude.

That is a great observation and I agree. The other day I tried Boundless in a Store and to begin with it was not very strong and in no time it kind of disappeared the scent disappeared in no time. Thanks you made this comment, I was almost sure on getting into Boundless. I also tried Jubilation XXV but even that seems to be not coming too strong for my nose, although it smells good.

Boundless, hands down.

Smoky: None
Incense: Jubilation
Oud: Jubilation

I'd say Boundless. It has an amber dry down, without the woody notes in Interlude. It is sweeter, however. Jubilation is a fruity-spicy-musky fragrance with oud-like notes.

But my friend I tried Boundless, to me it sucks Balls in Performance !! Absolutely appalled with its performance in about 15 Minutes it became so weak as if it was never there.

I wonder if it’s a skin chemistry or nose fatigue issue because one spray lasts well over 10-12 hours on my skin with decent projection and sillage for over half of that.

It’s actually so strong that people could smell me outdoors at a wedding from 10 feet away with just two sprays. I couldn’t really smell it anymore but everyone else around me could.

I also tried it on various occasions and also on the perfume testing strips. Same result.

That’s why I truly wonder if it’s a skin chemistry or nose fatigue issue. I know for myself a lot of times I can’t smell something anymore but everyone else around me can. Now by everyone I mean people I can trust to be honest with me and not just say something because they’re trying to be nice or polite.

But then again I never spray more than 1 or 2 sprays of any fragrance ever. I’d imagine my tolerance/threshold for scent is a lot different than most folks who probably average 3-5 sprays at minimum.

Weird, I get 8hr++ performance on skin, which is unusual for me (my skin eats up other fragrances).

I spray one spray on the back of my hand, and that is enough for me. When I normally spray on chest or neck I notice that I stop noticing it.

I finally purchased a bottle of Jubilation XXV. It’s from a 2021 batch.

I can safely say that Boundless is exponentially better than Jubiliation XXV. Literally all I can smell in JXXV is Iso-E overdosed to hell with a touch of peppery woods and a creamy musk. No incense, no berries or honey, no warmth and resins. Just a huge dollop of headache inducing iso-e and musk.

That's because your bottle is relatively new. Give this one time and do let some juice out of the bottle to allow it to mature faster.

I was just gonna post this question in a new thread, that if I try and allow to Macerate a mediocre scent can it perform better ? If the scent smell is fine with me but performance is not ?

Also how to Macerate a Perfume at Home ?

Well, my post above was specifically referring to Jubilation XXV. I think generalising is going a bit far: each scent has its own cocktail of aromachems, so I can only assume that maceration will vary depending on the scent itself.
As far as Jubilation goes however, I am speaking from experience. Expel some juice from the bottle (basically, decant some out), let it sit for a few months in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and away from heat (i.e. not in the bath or shower room).

I think a years worth of maceration is more than enough for a scent to show itself. This bottle is from two batches ago. This has already been decanted and is missing around 15ml’s. I bought it used.

I owned Jubilation for 2 years and tried it many times the 1st 6 months and then less and less as time went on. I could never sImell what so many others did. Finally sold it and never looked back. Smelled Boundless yesterday for the 1st time and also bought it yesterday.....so my vote is clear.
Also tried Amouage Royal Tobacco yesterday along with Silver Oud. The Oud seemed good quality but didn't stand out to me in the sea Ouds.
The Tobacco on the other hand has a wonderful dry down and I bought it on the spot.
