A New Scent for Fall/Winter - Help Needed!

Hey guys,

I'm in need of a new scent for the approaching colder seasons and need some assistance. Earlier this year, I bought a bottle of Xerjoff Mefisto Gentiluomo and have used it as my signature scent during spring and summer. God, I've never received so many compliments! Earlier in my fragrance career, I thought it was much more fun buying dozens of different scents, but lately. I've found out that I rather prefer having a smaller collection and perhaps having one scent I use daily.

Xerjoff Mefisto G isn't really suitable for colder weather. I know that it might be hard to find a "winter edition" of the same scent, but perhaps something that's close by or just as versatile? I've been recommended to test Dior Homme Original, as it should have some powdery notes. I tried the Intense version, but it was a bit too "chocolatey". I'd also like to add that I would prefer to have something more "niche". Yes, I won't have anything against paying a bit more for wearing something more unique, even if it might be a crowd pleaser. Otherwise, designer variants are fine too. I tried testing YSL's L'Homme range, but was overwhelmed of how wide it is. Couldn't try them all and found most of them to be alike.

So, to sum it up: A crowd pleaser (no oud), but still unique. Would prefer if it'd smell natural (not too synthetic) too. Not too dark or sweet. Think of Mefisto G, but more of a winter variant of it. Good projection/silage is a bonus.

Hope we can find a suitable fragrance together. Thank you so much! :)

Perhaps try Beau De Jour, Invasion Barbare, or even 1725 by HdP – all gentlemanly scents with heavier notes that'll do well in winter.|
Or something that's a little more unique like Sunshine Man or Eau Noire, still lavender heavy, but with a nice hefty dose of immortelle.
Or try something different like Cuir Ottoman, leather + iris, very classy – and great for winters.

Concurring that Invasion bar are is a great fougere that’s darker and more wintery Than usual. It’s not too dark but you may want to try it first. 1725 is also classic and less dark, but perhaps less unique.

Thank you all! I'm perhaps a bit more picky than you thought. I'm not really keen on smoky scents. Also, don't want something that's terribly mature, as I am in my mid twenties.

Beau de Jour is too mature for me, but I'll check in the rest! Sunshine Man isn't my cup of tea and Eau Noire is too smokey/too much vetiver.

Burberry London
Already own it. Feels a bit "christmasy" and not something I want for everyday wear.

Check out Tuxedo by YSL
Already own it too. More of a night scent for me.

I don't have anything against scents that might seem more mainstream (like some PdM fragrances). By "uinqieu" I meant something that you won't find every other guy at the office wearing. Although I am open to go for designer scents if that's where I'll find "the" scent for me.

I was thinking that Mephisto G is a rather floral scent. Perhaps the thing I’m looking for is a floral scent suitable for fall/winter. Would that make you come up with any recommendations?

Cartier Declaration or Declaration Essence is a great winter scent. I don't know Mefisto but see it has grapefrruit.... the Declaration L'eau flanker has a nice grapefruit note and is still good for winter, but may not be easy to find.

One other thought, Lalique for men. None of these are niche, but all are quality scents and shine in cooler weather....
