Best advice I ever received on this topic was from our dear friend hednic--2 sprays to the neck and 1 to the chest--no matter the fragrance.

But that neglects the wrists, and the inner side of your elbows. I don't necessarily spray all of those, just spray my wrists and touch other areas, particularly with loud fragrances. (Don't listen to the "But you're crushing the fragrance molecules!" nonsense.)

I am actually thinking to follow her advice. Even with heavy duty performers like Memo, Interlude-53 I am not happy with the performance I get out of 7-8 sprays so I would actually start spraying maybe about 12-13 sprays.

Especially with Stronger with You series. I love SWY Absolutely and Intensely but not very happy with the projection that they give even after 8 sprays So I would now double it. Who the effing cares if others get choked or whatever. If I like it I will do it.😉

You guys have convinced me to start doing it 😜 I here by solemnly declare and pledge that I shall here by always spray 20 Sprays of Fragrance on me no matter the Brand, The Strength, and the the Fragrance Type... I take oath to always rightfully carry out all my Fragrance wearer and user duties with fullest degree of sincerity.

WOW!

Due to your compelling dedication and sense of duty concerning the application of 20+ sprays of fragrances when worn, regardless of the fragrances' performance & longevity, while also having a complete disregard and indifference for other people's sense of smell in your vicinity, and in addition to your steadfast enthusiasm to adhere to this practice, I do hereby solemnly and sincerely nominate you as President of the 20+ sprays club on that day and time that said 20+ sprays club is established.

Do I get a second?

I like the comments:
I think psychology professionals like the comments on videos of most fragrance influencers too.

It's a goldmine of pathology study in real time without the need to diagnose or treat since they're not actually there for therapy.

You can find the narcissists, sociopaths, misogynists, borderline personality cases, and many more all in one place.

Just follow the trail of gaslighting, delusion, and manipulation back to the source. Fascinating.

Stop watching YouTube

Hehe, I can certainly understand why people give up on fragrance YouTube, nearly did myself a few months ago! But there are some fantastic content creators on there, like JJ Colbourne and Persolaise. As a keen gardener, I particularly love JJ's botanical knowledge in relation to perfumery. Not a fan of Roja Dove's fragrances, but I thoroughly enjoyed this talk he gave about fragrance through the decades. I suppose my point is that there's a lot of great content on there, you just have to dig for it! :)

True. I have been overly harsh with YouTube before, but one shouldn't throw the baby out with the Manceras. I mean, the bathwater!

Just commenting to second that JJ Coulborne is a great reviewer. I love their nose.

The only way I'd spray 20+ is if I relocate overseas. There's no way I can take 100+ bottles with me, so I'd have to use them up someway.

I have a chronic rhinitis and now I have a stuffy nose in the cold season so it's harder to properly sense the smells. I might spray a bit more, because I like to smell the fragrance I am using.

I have suffered from chronic allergic rhinitis my whole life, so my sense of smell can go from nothing to painfully sensitive within the same day.

Five years ago, my doctor prescribed me a corticosteroid spray called mometasone (brand name Nasonex in the US), which has made a world of difference to both my breathing and my sense of smell.

Your thoughts gentlemen ?
I think the film 'Idiocracy' was too conservative in the way it depicted civilisational decline, particularly for certain social strata.
She's very attractive, engaging, fun and entertaining.

The amount of sprays depends on the perfume, how long you want to last, how much you want to project.

I remember on a few occasions I entered an empty elevator and it smelled of some perfume. Some people seems to like it strong.

...???!!!

There's a difference between wanting to smell good and needing everyone who comes within a mile of you to notice your scent. Figure out what's gone so wrong in your life that you've become this desperate for attention. I know that sounds cold but it is a truth you need to read. Perfume cannot solve personal problems.

This thread reminds me of the guy who posted here wanting to know if he'd get better projection by spraying his testicles. He was serious. It was a very clear sign the guy wasn't well.

This thread reminds me of another guy who wore so much fragrance that the driver of the cab he was in stopped the car and got out. He posted that story here too, thinking the cabbie was racist or homophobic (when in reality, the poor cabbie probably couldn't breathe).

This thread is a cry for help, and I don't mean help with getting more projection.
Or going to a doctor to get your nose checked.
This. Something is wrong. Even if a guy is desperate for attention, 7-8 sprays of Interlude 53 is madness. 12-13 sprays is a cry for help.

I can pour a bottle of 4711 on me and I'm sure in about an hour nobody will be able to smell it. While two spray of Kouros will last a long time.
I think it has to do with your sweat.

I'm like that, and my sweat tends to be acidic or something. I used to go through workout clothes super fast. Kind of like Henry Cavill as the Witcher, minus the steroids.

I agree with not worrying about crushing molecules. When not following hednic's application method (which I love) of 2 sprays to the neck and 1 to the chest, I apply one spray to each wrist--then touch my pulse points of my neck with each wrist, and rub my wrists together.

That's literally how my mom used to do it! I learned from her.

My dad never wore any fragrance outside of aftershave and some Eau de Portugal on his hair.
