Pour Un Homme by Caron

Very strong and very classic scent but way to strong for this young'un.The opening takes me aback as it's shockingly strong. Maybe it's my American nose trying to get my head around a French fragrance. This is nothing but a powdery lavender, I'd rather go with Endymion by Penhaligon's for that. I don't detect much anything else.

212 Sexy Men by Carolina Herrera

For me, this dies after an hour. The scent feels skunky after a while. I don't like it at all, it made me gag. Too much vanilla and "green".

Rush for Men by Gucci

Slightly woody and spicy and ordinary. With a name like rush I was expecting to POP but it just lays there on the skin. I tried this at a discount perfume shop and the man sprayed it on my arm (at my request) and immediately said, "Strong, eh?". This is not strong at all. Only after reading the scent notes pyramid do I get the cedar and the incense notes which really smell like allspice and a but of licorice. I suppose my skin is extra dry because it didn't last as long as other people's experiences with Gucci Rush. The bottle is just... wrong. I get a clear image of the color red when I sniff this. A slightly oblique glass rectangle tinted orange-red with clear juice would be perfect, not a stark white rounded plastic rectangle.

Lacoste (original) by Lacoste

The clean scent in this is is more like PineSol than anything but what a great Pinesol smell! The sandalwood base is superb. I love lemon and wood scents.

Molecule 01 by Escentric Molecules

This is an ugly smell. Peppers ground in oil? I don't know what to make of this. It's like some kind of air that was steamed off from the industrial section of town.

Bulgari pour Homme by Bulgari

After reading other reviews I'm relieved I'm not the only one who has experienced headaches with this fragrance. After getting over the fact that there's too much pepper, the other notes are really great, it's just doesn't work with me.

Mustang Cologne by Mustang

The great mix of lavender and tobacco really sold me on this. I even like the name. Wonderful, wonderful scent that lasts for a good while for a cologne. I even had the scent still lingering the same on the spot from the original test earlier in the day. A mix of all my favorite fragrances that didn't go wrong in my book. I'd say this is definitely evening wear but doesn't need to be formal. Might seem generic for some. The box is neat, reminds me of a car hood. Only complaint is that the graphics on the bottle aren't embossed, etc. but just a printed sticker stuck on there. But it's not all about the looks.

Spark for Men by Liz Claiborne

Ends up feeling 'old' from the rum and cognac scents. Pepper on the nose doesn't mix very well with the honey and cognac. Ends up being very stale and industrial. Smells like the plastic wrap the bottle was protected by was doused in Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.The honey and pepper are the really predominate players here but they don't play very well and keep dropping the ball. A cedar or vanilla/leather bassnote would probably have made this more pleasing to me.I'd wear this just to confuse people's senses.

L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

Soft, lightly sweet and all-around nice fragrance. The tonka bean base note compliments the rest of the fragrances. Ginger is predominant with a hint of pepper and lemon. It stays around forever when applied liberally. Good for anytime but especially for formal gatherings in the spring season I'd think. The sillage is pretty strong.I purchased this as a gift for my brother who enjoys the sweeter scents. I wish I had some of this for myself.

GF Ferré Lui / Him by Gianfranco Ferré

A really nice blend of spicy, mossy aromas with a crispness of mild citrus, sage and ginger in its top notes. I would find this appropriate for the late fall to early winter from the notes from its drydown. The note of cedar comes out the most and reminds me of a Christmas party. None of the notes are exceedingly overt. With a weak sillage I find it to be a scent to wear for yourself.

Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche

This takes me back to junior high where the upcoming jocks would wear, nay, saturate themselves with this. Brings back memories of the high school prom, too close for comfort gym class changing rooms and the one time I went to a high school party.Aside from the events from my youth, I find it particularly pleasing with its biting lemon and juniper, its mossy lavender and its longevity. You just need to wear it right. You don't need a lot for casual wear.

Spirit by Antonio Banderas

This smells likes something I've had before a long time ago. Got this as a gift with the aftershave and it's a wonderful combination for a slightly less than formal evening out on the town with friends you don't need to impress except for your lady friend. Its initial burst is superb. Light musk, some notes are too biting. Feels like a very fierce, quick romantic encounter that leaves you with a single tobacco scent. One complimentary comment I've gotten was "You smell like 'man'."My complaint is that the initial notes it don't last very long. It's still very good.

Acqua di Giò pour Homme by Giorgio Armani

Even though I am new with fragrances, I can tell that this is a little too generic. I have smelled this before. The hints of the earthier flowers are light on top with the white rose support. Good to just wear when you can't think of anything else to wear or you're going to a boring gathering and want to be nondescript but have a pleasant aroma aura about yourself. Other reviews say it good for summer and I have to agree, it just doesn't go with the colder months.

Adidas Moves by Adidas

A playful dance of seemingly hundreds scents that are very similar. I love the pepper and the longevity of this. For a mass market fragrance, it's very good even if all the young kids wear this, it's perfectly OK for someone twice their age to wear for casual or office, daily rounds.
