cK Free by Calvin Klein

CK Free... Definitely in my Top 10..!!


Guys, CK Free is one of my top fragrances... It is almost intoxicating..!! I only wish it lasted longer...


Out of the bottle, Free offers that clean fresh smell with a blend of citrus, juniper, woodsy, and (call me crazy) leather. It is truly a pleasant scent that will work in all seasons and for any occasion. The only downside is the longevity - lasting only about 4 hours (at most). The projection/sillage is great early on and then fades after the first hour. Our noses are all different - in my opinion, Free differs from the other CK fragrances I own (probably 5 others) in that it is not as "sweet", or I detect less floral notes.


Early on, Free has potential "Wow Factor". I have not received compliments, but Sweetie gives two thumbs up. The interesting thing here, she is not a huge fan of the "clean" and "fresh" scents - she prefers the "musk" or "spice" scents. To reiterate, it has potential..!!


In addition to the fragrance/scent, the bottle is one of my favorites. Other than the CK logo, the bottle is totally clear showing the clarity of the fragrance. It may be my favorite bottle in my collection. Additionally, the packaging is above average.


All things considered, I give CK Free 4.2 stars out of 5 stars. The scent is one of my favorites. If the longevity were better, Free would clearly be in my Top 5. It is a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll.

Calving Klein's "CK One" is a great unisex fragrance at a great cost...


CK One a clean and fresh fragrance with a mild floral basenotes. There are similar fragrances out there, but One is masculine enough that men can freely wear...

I give CK One 4.18 stars, out of 5.It is under-rated in the cologne arena, a great value, and I definitely recommend adding it to your collection.

Light Blue pour Homme by Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce scores with Light Blue...


There are plenty of haters out of there of Dolce Men's Light Blue, but I say, "Not so Fast"..!! Light Blue is a very pleasant scent, easy on the nose, and will get you compliments. Coming out of the bottle, Light Blue offers notes of aquatic, citrus, and a bit of pepper. It then settles down to a musky evergreen fragrance that is very nice. Great job Dolce...


While wearing this today, and shopping for new additions to my collection, was asked about the fragrance... Light Blue has potential Wow Factor..!! It is very versatile, appropriate for any season and any occasion.The longevity is above average, lasting 7+ hours on the skin, and all day on my shirtsleeve. The projection/sillage is surprisingly high - I had given up on the projection when asked about the fragrance. It has all the tools...


Additionally, for those reading my reviews, you know I give a brief critique of the bottle and packaging. Light Blue scores great with bottle design, using a "frosted" glass bottle with great etching of the Dolce logo - you can still see the clarity of the fragrance. The packaging is above average.


The only (minimal) downside is the price/value - Light Blue is riding the female version, and Dolce reputation, keeping the it's price elevated. There is a "but" - you can now pick up the small bottle for around $30-$35 - which is not too shabby..!!


All things considered, Light Blue falls just outside my Top 10, but I definitely recommend adding to your collection. It is a great scent that provides flexibility/versatility without being overbearing. I give Light Blue 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. It is a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll..!!

Hugo Just Different by Hugo Boss

A "Different" Boss is worth trying...!!


I first spotted Hugo Boss Just Different at the Duty Free Shop leaving the US Virgin Islands - put it on the Christmas List - and received it last year as a present. I love it when a plan comes together... Thanks Sis for the present...


Hugo Boss Just Different has leapt into my Top 10..!! (the marvel of that is that I have over 300 bottles in my collection - and growing..!!). Just Different comes out of the bottle with notes of aquatic, citrus, and floral - but not a sweet floral. It then settles into a scent that I can not place - similar to something, yet unique for Hugo Boss. It truly is unique and easy on the nose. If I had to compare, it is very similar to Dior Fahrenheit and Dior Aqua Fahrenheit.


Just Different has the potential for compliments, i.e. the Wow Factor. The projection/sillage is average to above average. The longevity is above average, lasting about 5-6 hours on the skin and all day on clothing. I would suggest that Just Different is appropriate for any season and any occasion. I love the original Hugo bottle and Just Different is similar, yet solid black with a cool texture surface. The packaging is above average.


The real beauty, in addition to the scent, is that now Just Different can be purchased for around $30.00 with free shipping.


My final rating of Just Different is 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. Great scent that is a great value - I definitely recommend you add this one to your collection. It is a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll...

Very Sexy for Him 2 by Victoria's Secret

The Secret is out... "For Him 2" is a pleasant man's fragrance that lacks longevity...


Ok... You have to try them all...!! While shopping for Sweetie in Victoria's Secret, I picked up a bottle of Very Sexy For Him 2 - hold the comments, please..!! Based on how the tester smelled, I decided, "what the heck..!!" I have finally got around to try it...


Him 2 comes out of the bottle with notes of the outdoors, water, and floral. It finishes with notes of evergreen and floral. A nice blend that is pleasant to the nose. There has been some comparison to Versace Eau Fraiche - not sure I get that - Eau Fraiche is in my Top 5 (out of a collection of over 300 bottles). The projection/sillage is weak and the longevity is below average. Following the initial application, the fragrance is a disappointment. Following the initial application, you may get favorable comments, i.e. the Wow Factor, but that chance diminishes as the day progresses.


The bottle is a cool design in which the cap serves as a placement holder for the bottle should you decide to use it that way. The packaging is above average. The price/value is not up to par - there are plenty of fragrances out there on-line or at discount stores with better scents at a lower price.


My final tally of Him 2 is 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. Only recommended if you purchase at the store - "from what I am told" (i.e. Sweetie may be reading), the scenery is not bad..!! Enjoy life...

Curve Chill for Men by Liz Claiborne

You can Chill with Curve... But you won't be Chillin' long...



Curve Chill by Liz Claiborne smells great and is a “steal of a deal”... Chill is a clean citrus fragrance out of the bottle that settles on the skin with notes of citrus, floral, and musk. Definitely, a good scent that has appeal. There have been some comparisons to Chrome, but I am not sure I get that... Nothing new to the scent, but it does have appeal. That is about the extent of the fragrance - I am a huge fan of the original Curve and Bora Bora, but Chill does not have the longevity of those two... Disappointing...

Comments: As previously mentioned, Chill really does have a clean citrus musky scent, it just does not last on the skin or clothing. Sweetie did mention that it smelled great (and it was about 4 hours following a reapplication) - it has potential Wow Factor... I like the design of the bottle, clear and "etched" artistry that is easy on the eyes. I am a huge Curve (Claiborne for that matter), but I am disappointed in the longevity. Great deal too... If you are looking for a pleasant scent that is not overbearing, this one is for you.



I give Chill 3.93 stars, out of 5. If you are a Claiborne fan, add it to your collection - otherwise, spend your money on something that will last longer. Ride the wave and don't ask where it goes...

Deseo for Men by Jennifer Lopez

Good Juice... Needs to last longer...


I am not a huge fan of J-Lo, but wanted to try this juice. Not too shabby..!! The reviews on Basenotes are critical, but Amazon are quite positive - what is the real deal..?? The deal is that this juice is unique - yeah, I hear those "na-sayers" that it is a run of the mill spicy woodsy scent, but there is something different here. I generally am not a fan of the spicy woodsy fragrances, but I will wear this routinely.


Deseo comes out of the gates with a blend of clean and fresh citrus/floral and then hits you with the woodsy notes and finishes there. The fragrance fades fairly quickly, barely detectable at five (5) hours but at skin level just after about 2-3 hours. Early projection and sillage is positive, then you guessed it, fading after that.. Sweetie gives credence to the Wow Factor, strongly complimenting/endorsing Deseo, which works for me - I should stipulate she is fond of the woodsy fragrances (me - I prefer the aquatic citrus fragrances...)


I would also offer that Deseo is appropriate for any time of year and any occasion - it's versatility/flexibility is a selling point. The price/value is above average - the current deal on Amazon is a little under $20 with free shipping. The bottle is uniquely designed, but a bit awkward to hold and spray - the packaging is above average.


My evaluation of Deseo is 4 stars out of 5 stars. It is a cool fragrance and run of the mill for celebrity endorsements. It fades a little too quickly for me to rate higher. It is a long way to the top if you want to rock-n-roll...

Just Cavalli Him by Roberto Cavalli

Just Cavalli... A very pleasant scent with below average longevity...

Guys if you are looking for a great deal on a pleasant scent, and don't mind below average longevity, Just Cavalli may be for you. Just Cavalli is a blend of floral and spice that settles into a light spice and woodsy fragrance that is easy on the nose.

Evolution by Rocawear

Rocawear Evolution is a great scent - Needs better longevity...

This is my first experience with Rocawear fragrances. Evolution is a very pleasant scent that is a great buy. Evolution is a great blend of woods, spice, and floral that is easy on the nose. Very pleasant..!! I wish it lasted longer...

I give Evolution 3.8 stars, out of 5. It is a great fragrance at a great price. Needs improved longevity.

Blu pour Homme by Bulgari

Not too shabby..!! A fresh showered soapy/powdery fragrance...

Most of the BVLGARI fragrances that I own tend to have a clean, fresh, almost soapy scent. BLV Pour Homme is no different, coming out of the gates with ginger notes then settling down to a cedarwood/juniper fragrance with tobacco as end notes. The blend is similar to some, but offers a uniqueness that belongs to BVLGARI. I like the fragrance... It is easy on the nose.

BVLGARI works hard creating a richness feel with it's fragrances. You notice that immediately with the packaging and the quality (and clarity) of the bottle. Not sure if anyone else notices these things, but I do admire quality design and packaging. BLV has average longevity, projection, and sillage - lasting about 6 hours on my skin and longer on my shirtsleeve. The fragrance offers diversity that permits acceptability for any time of year and occasion.

While I have not received any compliments, i.e. the Wow Factor, I enjoy wearing BLV and it creates confidence while wearing - that is all that really matters, right..?? If you are a BVLGARI fan, BLV should be added to your collection. Will I repurchase when the 1 ounce bottle is depleted - probably not - but it is worth buying to add to your collection and the diversity of fragrances worn. If you can pick it up in the $20-$25 range, definitely jump on it.

All things considered, I give BLV 4.0 stars out of 5. The fragrance is unique enough to give it a shot. Night swimming does the body good...

Perry Ellis 18 for Men by Perry Ellis

Great scent - clean and fresh...!!! Longevity is below average...

Perry Ellis has some really good fragrances on the market... What I have found is that most, some better than others, the longevity is below average. This describes Perry Ellis 18 - great scent out of the bottle and within an hour, two at the most, you are wondering, "where did it go?" 18 comes out of the bottle with a blend of citrus and spice notes that settles into a nice clean and fresh scent that is pleasant. Most definitely, easy on the nose..!!

Not much more needs to be said of the longevity - it diminishes rapidly and hardly detectable after two hours following the initial application. Not a real problem for me - I just pack the bottle in my briefcase and reapply as needed. The initial projection/sillage is positive, but quickly settles to just at the skin level. Even on the shirtsleeve, the fragrance is barely traceable following 2 hours of wear.

I will add that I am inspired by the bottle design, providing a different shape and look from the typical cologne. Nicely done..!! The packaging is above average and another step by Perry Ellis to portray a richness of the fragrance to those of BVLGARI, Ralph Lauren, Versace, and others. works hard creating a richness feel with it's fragrances.

The fragrance probably works best in Spring and Summer, but given the brevity of the fragrance, you will need to reapply often. 18 would work for just about any occasion and as you might guess, it is not overpowering - no complaints from your co-workers..!!

While I have not received any compliments, i.e. the Wow Factor, I enjoy wearing 18. I would imagine that compliments would occur if I did not have so many in my collection. If you can find 18 in the $20-$25 range, possibly cheaper, I definitely recommend adding to your collection. Yes, the longevity is lousy, but the fragrance deserves a shot.

All things considered, I give 18 4.0 stars out of 5. I like the bottle and the fragrance is pleasant. Try something new... You may like it..!!

Bang by Marc Jacobs

Get ready for the pepper..!!

If you like the scent of Black Pepper with outdoors "woodsy" finishing notes, this fragrance is for you. It is definitely unique... I am not a huge fan of the spicy woodsy type of fragrances, but Sweetie tends to gravitate towards these - and for some reason, my collection of these seems to be growing..!!

The bottle is uniquely designed and is definitely a conversation piece. The longevity is below average and the projection/sillage is about average. While I have not received any compliments, again, Sweetie does like the fragrance - and that is good enough for me.

It would be hard to pinpoint the exact time and occasion for Bang, but I guessing it would be more of a fall/winter type of fragrance that is popular at night. For the avid collector, pick it up based on the uniqueness of the fragrance and the bottle design.

All things considered, I give Bang 3.7 stars out of 5. I am not a fan, but am a collector. Enthusiasm moves the world...

Prestigio by Tonino Lamborghini

I picked this up for $8.00 at a discount store (Marshalls, I believe). For the money, it is definitely worth a shot. The fragrance is quite pleasant with about average longevity is average.

The fragrance is a soft powdery musk with clean woodsy notes at the end. It truly is a nice fragrance. The initial projection and sillage is nice, but settles down to just above skin level, however, I did detect the fragrance randomnly during the day.

The bottle is cheaply made and the packaging is about average, but this should not take away from purchasing for the avid collector.

All things considered, I will give Prestigio 4.2 stars out of 5. It is a long way to the top, if you want to Rock-n-Roll...

Fcuk Late Night Man by French Connection

Great scent, Great Buy, and a Very Cool Bottle...

Guys if you want an underrated scent at a great price, French Connection United Kingdom (FCUK) Late Night is the one to get. The real beauty of this cologne is the (large) bottle is a conversation piece that is uniquely designed. I detect floral and fruit notes in the beginning and the fragrance then settles into a clean outdoorsy musky spice scent. I am not big on these type of fragrances, but this one is a keeper. Truly unique..!!

I have been pleasantly surprised at the longevity. It is about average, perhaps above average, lasting about 6 hours on the skin and 8+ on my shirtsleeve. While I could not smell it, Sweetie still detected the fragrance following a hard day at work. The initial fragrance has good projection early on then settles on the skin - still not complaining and not bad for a blind purchase.

Due to the consistent spicy notes, I am suggesting mostly a fall or winter fragrance that can be used for any occasion. The packaging is above average, and as already stated, the bottle is first class designed. My cologne collection is now 300+ bottles - Late Night just may be my favorite bottle. The spray mechanism is a bit awkward, but not significantly.

Late Night has potential "Wow Factor" - I received (solicited) positive feedback and as a first, a colleague wrote down the name to buy as a present for her husband. Good enough for me. The buy is outstanding, Amazon currently has it listed for $22.00 for the large bottle and free shipping. Not too shabby..!!

All things considered I will give Late Night is 4 stars out of 5. It is truly a gem - and the bottle will be a great addition to your collection. Ride the wave and don't ask where it goes...

Uomo? Moschino by Moschino

Classy scent at a decent price... Longevity is average...

Guys - UoMo Moschino is another one of my blind buys that has turned into a pleasant surprise. This is really a good fragrance - especially, if you like the classic spicy musk scents from years ago.

Moschino starts with floral and spice notes and then settles into a powdery amber musk fragrance that is very easy on the nose. Very pleasant..!! I have worn the fragrance twice now and enjoy the occasionally whiff from time to time. While I have not received any compliments, i.e. Wow Factor, I do believe it has potential. Given the classic and traditional notes, the fragrance can be worn for any occasion and during any season. It is that versatile.

The packaging is above average - nice finishing touch - and the bottle is one of my favorites. I am fond of clear bottles that allow seeing the clarity of the fragrance. My only disappointment with Moschino, is the longevity - to me, the most important performance measure. While the fragrance lasts a little longer on my shirtsleeve, it is barely detectable on the skin 3-4 hours following the initial application. Not bad, but still below average. Perhaps as an option, pack the bottle and reapply as needed.

If you like old school spicy fragrances that are easy on the nose, this one is for you. I am not a big fan of this type of cologne, but I definitely recommend buying Moschino.

All things considered I will give Moschino 4.1 stars out of 5. It is truly a gem - and the bottle will be a great addition to your collection. Ride on Midnight Rider...

Beckham Signature for Him by Beckham

Nice scent with weak longevity...

I have purchased a number of the Beckham fragrances blind. All are great scents, to include Signature, but all are relative weak in longevity. As I continue to write reviews, the longevity element/measure has grown in importance to me and is the element I am most critical. The rationale is simple, why buy a cologne if there is no projection/sillage?

Signature offers a fresh scent out of the gates with evergreen, floral, and powdery notes. It settles into a very pleasant fragrance with amber and outdoorsy (I think I just made up a word..!!) finishing notes. It is very easy on the nose. That is about all the good comments regarding Signature...

Similar to other comments, the fragrance lasts about an hour. Yes, I get it - our body chemistry is different, but this fragrance does not last even on clothing. Following the hour after the initial application, it requires a follow-up dose.

The bottle is awkwardly designed, making it a challenge to hold and spray in the same motion. The packaging is below average - I actually notice packaging of the bottle more now. You can tell when a manufacturer wants to sell "top shelf"...

If you can pick this up for under $10, and just for the thrill of adding another bottle to your collection, pick it up...

All things considered I will give Signature 3 stars out of five. Ensure you develop tomorrow's leaders...

Cool Water Summer Fizz by Davidoff

Great scent with disappointing longevity...

I am a huge fan of Cool Water. Something about the aquatic citrus fragrances that are appealing to me. I was excited about trying Summer Fizz, but shortly after the initial application I became disappointed. The fragrance is similar to the original Cool Water with a little extra lemon kick. Great fragrance..!! I usually get a full day wearing the original Cool Water, but about an hour after applying Summer Fizz, the fragrance is hardly detectable. I must have reapplied three (3) or four (4) times during the day. I also applied a spray to my shirt with the same results - maybe an hour or so longevity.

The bottle is uniquely designed with a nice logo etching. The packaging is above average. Obviously, summer and evening are the best time, and events, to wear the fragrance. Given the brevity of the fragrance, I have not, nor expect to receive any compliments. If I can't smell it, I am certain no one else can either.

If you can pick up Summer Fizz for less than $20.00 and just enjoying collecting, pick it up. All things considered I will still give Summer Fizz 4 stars out of 5. Given the longevity weakness, I do like the fragrance and I threw in a couple of "Cool Water Kicker" points as I am a fan of Cool Water. Throw it in the gym bag and apply following the shower and prior to heading home. Live life to the fullest...

Zino Davidoff by Davidoff

Soft leather with an oaky finish...

I am a fan of all the Davidoff fragrances and have many of them in my collection... Zino is definitely unique in the lot. I purchased this blind about two months ago and just got around to wearing it. It was a great deal on Amazon and the reviews, with the exception of a few, are quite positive.

Out of the gates, Zino comes out with the woodsy notes that settles into a fresh outdoors oaky finish with hints of floral and maybe a touch of vanilla. It is unique and easy on the nose. I tend to be more attracted to the citrus base note fragrances, but the peculiar thing here, is that I like Zino. It smells great.

Zino has plenty of potential "Wow Factor" - positive comments from the ladies. Shortly after my initial application, Sweetie comments, "Whoa - what is that..?? It smells great..!!"She is a fan of the spicy/woodsy fragrances. I also received positive comments from co-workers. The projection/sillage is average, but you can definitely smell it.

The longevity is above average, lasting about 6+ hours on the skin and a little longer on my shirtsleeve. The bottle is nothing extraordinary and the packaging is slightly above average. A check of Amazon today shows a large bottle, 4.2 ounces, is about $25.00 with Free Shipping. At that price and the uniqueness of the fragrance, you should add it to your collection.

All things considered, I give Zino 4.1 stars out of 5. Bottom line - the scent is unique, it has potential "Wow Factor", longevity is above average, and the deal is fantastic. I definitely recommend adding to your collection. Make sure you "see the world" before it is too late...

Claiborne Sport by Liz Claiborne

Underrated and a great value...

I am a fan of Claiborne fragrances - Bora Bora, Curve, and Sport. I have many of these (variations of Curve) in my collection. Sport has been a pleasant addition. I get that our "noses" are different - my Mom swears that no one has a nose like mine - I detect a "clean showered", (touches of) floral, fresh, and "piney" notes. The fragrance is appealling from the initial application and settles into the fresh clean showered essence that is quite pleasing. It is definitely easy on the nose.

The real beauty of Sport is the deal. The large bottle is available on Amazon with free shipping under $20.00. Great deal with great service. Secondary to the deal is the longevity. This element is the most important to me and the one I am most critical. The fragrance has above average longevity, lasting about six (6) hours, maybe longer on the shirtsleeve. The fragrance has potential "Wow Factor" - Sweetie smelled my neck this morning and asked about the fragrance. Keep in mind that I applied the fragrance yesterday morning prior to work. Claiborne is underrated in men's fragrances - I have had several compliments (i.e. Wow Factor) from many of the fragrances (probably most from Bora Bora).

The bottle is appealling to me - it is clear with shading/etching on half. I love the clear bottles that allow you to see the clarity of the fragrance. The spray is above average - use moderately..!! Additionally, the packaging is above average, which is great for such an inexpensive fragrance. The bottom line guys - if you want an underrated fragrance at a great price - Sport or any of the Claiborne frangrances should be added to your collection.

All things considered, I give Sport 4.2 stars out of 5 and definitely recommend. Try something new today - you may like it...

Silver Shadow by Davidoff

Davidoff's Silver Shadow is a best kept secret... Add to your collection...

Call me crazy - I love the blind buys that turn out to be a great cologne... Silver Shadow falls into this category - pleasantly surprised.. The fragrance is out of the gates with a soft cedar/woodsy base note then finishes with a clean smelling vanilla amber scent that is unique. The smell is almost addictive. It is truly a best kept secret.

The longevity is above average, lasting about 6+ hours on the skin and a little longer on my shirtsleeve. While I have not received any unsolicited compliments, I did receive compliments when asked about the fragrance I was wearing. Sweetie also gave me the thumbs up in the morning and, again, at night when I got home. The projection, or silage, is average. The fragrance is really good.

Given the amber and woodsy notes, I would suggest the best time of year to wear would be Fall and/or Winter. Probably any occasion is appropriate for Shadow. The bottle is an extremely cool design and is well packaged. I am especially fond of the logo etching on the glass bottle. Davidoff, nice job..!! The value on Amazon is just under $30.00 for a small bottle (and you pay shipping). While there are better (or cheaper) deals available, this cologne is worth taking a chance. You may get lucky, monitoring the price for a reduction or maybe Free Shipping included.

My cologne collection has now surpassed 300 bottles and growing - you have to spend your money on something, right? Silver Shadow might fall outside my Top 10, but I do enjoy the fragrance. Right now I am big on the citrus based fragrances.

All things considered, I give Silver Shadow 4.3 stars out of 5. Bottom line - the scent is fantastic, it has potential "Wow Factor", longevity is above average, and the deal is average. I definitely recommend adding to your collection. Enjoy the changes each season brings (and in life)...

Joop! Jump by Joop!

I am a Joop fan..!! Jump on the bandwagon...

You guys know I like finding the great scent from a blind buy... As one of my former supervisors once said, "sometimes you get the bear... and sometimes the bear gets you..." With Jump, I think I got the bear. The fragrance is definitely unique and easy on the nose. The beginning notes are those of spice, sugar, vanilla, and floral and then settling down to a nice smooth aquatic, clean, sweet (but not too sweet) fragrance that is masculine and unique. Almost addictive...

My first Joop purchase was a the Original Joop some years ago and was initially turned off on how strong that fragrance was. I was hesitant with Jump, but found the reviews (and price) worth a try. I am pleasantly surprised. While the projection is good, it is not overpowering. Very easy on the nose and not offensive. I have one the fragrance once and received compliments and curiosity of the fragrance. Definitely scoring in the Wow Factor.

You pick up various notes that will blend well with any time of year and any occasion. The fragrance is really good. You can't beat that..!! For the avid collector, and those that need a versatile fragrance, add Jump to your collection.

Not sure where Jump falls in my collection, probably just outside the Top 10 - but, I like it and recommend/suggest adding to your collection.

Subtil pour Homme by Salvatore Ferragamo

Ferragamo scores with an underrated fragrance... I just wish "Subtil" last longer...

I had originally purchased Ferragamo Subtil Pour Homme a number of years ago and have been big fan of the scent since.. While the fragrance still smells the same, it seems there is a remarkable difference in the longevity to the bottle I just purchased. Of noteworthy interest, I did buy my first bottle from a department store in the mall. The fragrance rocks..!! Each of our noses are different - I detect fresh citrus fruity notes almost lemon/lime out of the gates and then it settles into a clean aquatic fragrance that is pleasant to the nose. The fragrance is really that good.

Today for example - I applied a heavy dosage prior to leaving for work (around 7:30 AM) - the fragrance died out a little after 1:00 PM (even on my shirtsleeve). What is up with the colognes of today - they just don't last..?!?! It seems the cologne we purchased 5 years ago would last the whole day. Regardless, the scent is very pleasant and you will get compliments - the Wow Factor is above average. I am comfortable wearing this scent any time of year and for any occasion - for those who get into that sort of thing - stick to Spring/Summer and evening wear.

The bottle is an extremely cool design and is well packaged. Ferragamo, nice job..!! The value on Amazon is just $25.00 for a large bottle with Free Shipping - for the price, are you kidding me? - even with below average longevity, it is a steal. Add it to your collection.

All things considered, I give Subtil 4.4 stars out of 5. While the longevity is below average, it is a deal and should be added to your collection. Life is full of twists and turns - drive with caution.. !!

McGraw Silver by Tim McGraw

McGraw Silver... Great outdoors fresh scent - not much staying power...

I received McGraw Silver as a present and pleasantly surprised at the fragrance... It breathes masculine outdoors from the beginning, finishing with musky, oaky, and vetiver notes. When you smell it, you definitely think you are in the country. Good scent - I'm impressed. The Wow Factor has potential - Sweetie (a.k.a. my girlfriend) complimented the fragrance following the initial application. Those are the good points...

Now the downside. Silver is on the weaker side of longevity and the smaller bottle (one ounce) is awkwardly small in your hand - difficult to hold and spray.

Given the uniqueness of the fragrance and if you like (country) Southern style scents, add Silver to your collection.

All things considered, I give Silver 4 stars out of 5. As stated before, if you are the avid collector, buy it. The eyes are the windows to the soul...

Perry Ellis Night by Perry Ellis

Perry Ellis Night... Great fragrance/scent but doesn't last..

I have a number of the Perry Ellis fragrances and all are fairly decent scents but all are also on the weaker side of lasting a full day... Night is no exception. Great scent, coming out of the gates with clean citrus notes and finishing with a smooth amber wood and/or musk fragrance. The scent is really nice. For those reading my reviews, you know I am a big fan of a fragrance's longevity. Night ranks poorly. I have worn the cologne once, and while impressed with the scent, I did have to apply 3 times during a normal business day (yes, I have that office job..) where I could still smell the scent.

Following one reapplication, I did receive an unsolicited compliment - meaning the potential Wow Factor is there, just not there for long. Night can be worn any time of year and for any occasion. If you have Bora Bora by Claiborne, it smells very similar, but Bora Bora lasts much longer. If you have an extensive collection, like to blind buy just for the thrill of it, and can find Night for around $20.00 - go ahead and buy it. Throw it in the gym bag and use prior to the ride home.

I do like the bottle design and the packaging (you can tell if a manufacturer packages the product to be "top shelf") is first class.

All things considered, I give Night 4 stars out of 5. As stated before, if you are the avid collector, buy it. Life - enjoy the ride...!!
