rbaker's Review of Hermèssence Vétiver Tonka by Hermès

A restrained tonka gets the olfactory ball rolling, combined with a bright and light vetiver. This vetiver lacks any depth, earthiness or nite; it is more in the ephemeral side.

Other notes I get include a pleasant praline-milk-chocolate impression with a slightly hazel-nutty character that has a caramel-like undertone towards the end. Touches of a soft whit smile come and go.

I get soft sillage, limited projection, but a good nine hours of longevity on my skin, albeit only skin deep.

Pleasant as a scent for warmer autumn days, this creation is quite pleasant, light and bright. Unfortunately it is also anaemic and mostly somewhat generic. Still, fairly agreeable. 2.75/5
