The green herbal-cucumber opening has a touch of earthiness attached to it that makes for an unusual set of top notes. Soon a woodsy compoenent appears, which is developing into a saffron with an a concurrent restrainedly spicy frankincense impression. This is not a ceremonial heavy frankincense, but more of a lighter and approachable type of frankincense -
more - more playful jazz than high mass.

The base is mainly characterised by the frankincense continuing but oaired with a fair amount of styrax; hints of castoreum contribute to the somewhat sharper character of the combination, which is contributes to by a cistus undercurrent, although is never looses a certain smoothness.

I get moderate sillage, very good projection and a superb twelve hours of longevity.

An unusual concept and a little bit disjoint, not following traditional rules but nonetheless intriguing, although suffering a bit from ingredient overload. 2.75/5.
