Wood Sage & Sea Salt is last Christine Nagel fragrance for Jo Malone

Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt – inspired by the English coast – is the last Christine Nagel fragrance for the brand. Nagel has been a regular perfumer for Jo Malone since 2010, but is now in-house perfumer at Hermès alongside Jean-Claude Ellena.

Jo Malone say:

Escape the everyday along the windswept shore. Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage. Lively, spirited and totally joyful.

“For me this fragrance is different. The sea air mixes with salty spray and the mineral texture of sand and rock. Like the scent of driftwood, it has a natural and fresh sophistication. A complex combination of wood and the sea is at its core. The feeling is of free-spirited liberty and joy.” says perfumer Christine Nagel.Unlike “beach scents” from other brands that smell of calone and suncream oil – this one smells of English beaches – wind, rain, sand in your mouth, salt in your hair.

The fragrance is suitable for men and women, and is the first Jo Malone fragrance to feature a man as well as a woman in the promotional materials.Wood Sage & Sea Salt is available from 1st September as 30ml and 100ml Cologne, Body Crème, Body & Hand Wash and Home Candle.
