LVMH-owned beauty store, Sephora, is heading back to the UK after an absence of 18 years. The brand had opened a handful of stores in the UK in 2000, but closed them in 2005.
FeelUnique, which Sephora acquired in 2021, will be rebranded as Sephora.co.uk on 17th October, and the first store is expected to open in London in Spring 2023, with more stores expected to follow. FeelUnique has two retail stores in Jersey, which will also become Sephora at some point.
Of the FeelUnique acquisition, Martin Brok, president and chief executive officer of Sephora, said “The acquisition is a key step in Sephora’s European growth strategy and marks a first step for Sephora’s presence into the United Kingdom.”
Chris de Lapuente, Chairman and CEO at Sephora said “At Sephora, we innovate every day to build the most loved beauty community. We are delighted to bring Sephora to the UK, responding to Britain’s strong demand for our unique prestige beauty experience. UK customers will be encouraged to explore and discover the best versions of themselves as we support them in their beauty journey with a fantastic curation of time-tested classics and new indie brands
